Grenade drop

I've noticed that if you shield while you have a grenade in your hand you drop it and today I was using it while pikachu was attacking me and I think he hit the grenade and he blew up while I was shielding, he was sent flying why I remained unharmed. don't know how this happened but Im using it more often now...

Anyways Just wanted to see if you guys know more about this O__o?

You shielded the explosion, and pika didn't.

Definitely use it more, it's one of Snake's most useful tricks :D

Here's one thing I do with shielding grenades, I don't know if anyone has thought of it yet. Actually, I've yet to try it out on anyone, but I'm planning on trying it out on my annoying friend who camps with projectiles.

If you shield drop a grenade, you can pick it back up and you'll have better mobility. So, you can now crouch with it, or double jump with it (good for edgeguarding). It'll basically treat the grenade as a regular item.

Grenade dropping's good and all, but I perfer Nikita dropping. Nothing says 'WTFPWNED' like having the missile you THOUGHT you had shielded fall right in front of your face.

Sure, it's weaker then normal, but who cares? It's better then not hitting at all, and it can screw people up into thinking you're unstoppable.

Sounds like toon link's bomb slide. Take out a bomb, sh and shield right before you land and then you can spike it.
