I like the idea but they could have actually had the loop in the stage. IMO it should be a scrolling stage just like the Mario stage.

it's in the background.

in all seriousness, Smash's physics don't allow running up walls, much less running in a loop. I was disappointed after making a gradual arc in Custom Stages going into a wall just to find out that Sonic can't run up the wall D:

Also, the Sonic stages were too vertically massive to be a side scroll level.

too late to complain about it now :p

I agree its a disapointment, but this is more of a Stage Discussion section thread. It really has nothing to do with Sonic as a Character.

I don't know how I feel about another side scoller, I guess it would be ok. Either way the level would be unusable in tournement play

I was hoping for something like the Boss sections from Green hill (3) or angel island (2). The bridge could've collapsed every time Knuckles stepped on a switch instead of random falling floors.

I'm just your problem~
Chemical Plant Zone would have been much cooler, if nothing else for the epic music.

edit: also the potential water parts of the stage would be another reason for me to use Toon Link's dair. :D

I actually had my own idea for a Casino Nights Zone stage.
That woulda been fun. I don't like GHZ much either, potential wasted.

LOL another reason for Sonic to be afraid of water.

Yea i think GHZ had nice music but was tiny, with only a single little checkpoint thingermagiger to have fun with ,Major dissapointment. Plus if your sonic on that course, just spin dash and most likeley youll hit a few people.

I don't know what you all are on about. Green Hill is a very nice stage, especially for tactical fighting. Control the checkpoint, and you have to think on your feet and change your strategy in mid-battle to complement for the new KO potential when the stage collapses.

But I must laugh when you say that having the ARK as a level would have to mean a Shadow Alt. He never had a chance, people. Just be happy you get him as an AT.

If it had been a scrolling stage it would have to go faster then how Mushroomy Kingdom. Because if it goes that slow, that's just not capturing what Sonic games are about. Even if it has no motion: Sonic has a "home field advantage" here, the ramp will help him against Spamming foes and it will be harder to catch up to Sonic unless your... another sonic on GHZ.
