GENERAL RULES
If you are not present for your game 10 minutes after your game is called, you will be completely eliminated from the tournament. The tournament organizer (Great Value Smash) has the final say on all rulings and disputes. All tournaments are double elimination.

If a wireless controller is found to be interfering with a tournament set in any way, the player that owns the controller will receive a SET LOSS for their next available game and possibly a temporary ban from future events. It is the sole responsibility of each player to unpair their controllers from a console after their set.

All sets are Best of 3 except Winners Finals, Losers Finals, and Grand Finals, which will be Best of 5, unless otherwise specified.

The latest version (20XXTE Melee) will be played with all characters available as of that revision.

SEEDING
Players will be subjectively seeded based on perceived skill level in comparison to the rest of the players present. Attempts will be made to prevent players from similar groups from facing each other early. Players are welcome to view and discuss seeding with the Tournament Organizer before the start of a tournament, but the Tournament Organizer will have the final call.
