I wanted to avoid doing this for Brawl vids since it's not as challenging as doing at for melee vids. Sucks the fun out of it. Or it's not AS fun I should say.
But it lets me pass the time so w/e.

Basically all I saw you doing was missing dash attacks, spamming counter, and shieldbreaker.
Stop using dash attacks and replace those with aerials, dtilts, and dancing blade. Dash attacks are really situational, and they don't really set up for anything. His dancing blade is great for damage, his dtilt is a good shieldpoke and camping tool (and an infinite on walls, lol), and his aerials are all useful for damage and nice combos.
Use counter sparingly. You got lucky that most of your counters connected because your friend was predictable. If you whiff a counter you will get punished.
ShieldBreaker is a good move, but use it as a surprise when they're shielding. SB takes a huge chunk out of their shield.
Space yourself properly. You're always right next to your opponent. Remember that Marth's sweetspot is at the tip of its sword, where it has the most kb and is strongest (and it feels oh so good to land it)
You don't really seem to follow up on your attacks. You aerials are your main approach and your best friend. Use them and rack up that damage.
And your edgeguarding is nonexistent. When you've knocked him far, don't be afraid to just jump off and use practically any aerial (most preferably fair and auto-RAR bair, or you could try dair if you can land it). Combine that when an edgehog, and he's bound to die. And if he seems same, ledge drop and bair him.
You could also go to the Marth Video Archive to see all the above mentioned things in action.

pretty much a bad marth. as said b4 get in the air and fair dair bair nair uair when u get the opportunity and also wtf are u doing using shield breaker outright terrible. Also incorporate more dancing blades to set up for upB to finish and down dancing blade to rack up damage.

Ouch, that was harsh.
Anyway, your marth is definatly too stuck on the ground. I think you did less that 5 aerials before you ko'd your opponent the first time. Marth has a great air game, so don't ignore it. Also, you spammed your up and forward smash like crazy. Nobody will ever fall for four usmashes straight, although i did notice that you slid a few of them. You also need to use dancing blade a bit more. Less dash attack, and i saw little to none evasive game. You need to grab too. You definitely need a lot of work, but read a lot of the advise on this board and you should be on your way
Thanks Fregadero, I'm glad that there are people that help people in need. and that how to play video was not cool, I just got out of the hospital and i couldnt play SSBM/SSBB. Im not one to pick fights, but how 'bout you and i fight a match or two? Ced5000
