Thank you to everyone who came by and participated.
Not a huge turnout, but I think it was just the right amount to try out the new losers bracket idea. Considering trying it again... What do you all think? How did you feel about it?

I want to start off with an apology. I do not have the pool sheets. I may have left them in smashjin's car, and if I did he'll be sending them over to me! So pool results and more accurate bracket results are hopefully still to come. Please correct any inaccuracies in the meantime.

I really enjoyed this tournament and I'm looking forward to the next one.

jk, it actually is something that is cool if the first round "loser's pool" or w/e u call it wasn't stacked to one side

one of the pools was

and Top 1 made it out. so that was kind of odd, it's like people got punished for getting a higher seed in pools

Banks, I realize that it wasn't equal skill in each pool and I assure you it wont happen again. I don't think it was anything even close to "punishing" someone for getting a high seed in pools though.

Well, I meant that the players in the other loser's pool were seeded into the bracket as a lower seed, and despite having to play a top seed player earlier in winners, the path to 5th and higher placing ended up being easier

but I realize it was the first time doing this and stuff, and because of the smaller bracket size it was probably the equivalent to a round earlier than it would've been or something

good times anyways tho, nice to see everyone. I need to get good for Apex, so at least I know more about where I suck a$$ so I can work on it

MattDotZeb: I think you did a great job running this, and the pools thing was cool. it might be hard to pull off with a venue that closes at 9 if there are more people who come though. our set was probably the most hype of my life :D we have to get some more games in next time!

Yong: that was a really good set! probably the weirdest games ever...hopefully Matt doesn't follow through with what he said about giving you death brackets.

CK Momentum: we should hang out more, and I was ready to explode at the end of our games. so much intensity.

Amatuer: your documentary is so cool. good luck with everything! I hope I get to see you playing at more tournies in the future =)

I love Kingsley, but I don't think I'm wrong about this. When you have one stage that benefits more or less one person exclusively (cause I'm looking at these results and I really can't see anyone else who would go to Mute City or some other outdated CP) I think you have a problem.

If anything you should put on Corneria and Mushroom Kingdom 2 so I can score some easy *** W's.


But w'e, it's your tournament, I'm just stating my (apparently unwanted) .02 cents. Just saying, when you guys go to Nationals, dont come *****ing to me when y'all get exposed *cough cough*

migth as well play battlefield fox only, only thing i cant stand about the smash community, there so close minded, if you have a problem with mute city ban it, and if you get taken to brinstar deal with it. Thats the whole point of a counterpick. Play to win, its not up to the TO's to make the game "balanced" or fair for you, but anyways theres a thread to talk about legal stages and its not here so take it over there.
