This is the Chrome OS. Not a desktop, but a web browser, but smarter.
And here is the what the laptop looks like. It's pretty simple and neat. I think it's has a very sexy fine look.
It also has the ability to have no viruses or malware, especially hackers can't get in. Which makes it even sexier better.
It has one USB port, Headphone Jack, SD card reader, and that thingamajig.

I have to say, once I understood the concept of having a web browser as an OS I was thinking..."hey, this could be awesome." Buuutttt.....the quetion of what if there's no internet available is kinda crappy. What if I wrote an essay in google docs for a class, forgot to print it out before class, and I can't access the internet. Sounds way to risky. What about playing single player games on my computer that don't involve the internet. I have too many questions about problems that could occur with this "web browser OS". Sounds like a plan that needs to be re-thought.

I'm currently using Chrome (not OS) and 99% of the time it's _awesome_ (I do run into... oddities... on occasion so I keep Firefox around for backup). Really really fast, very streamlined look to it.

Off Topic.

This thread is talking about chrome OS not chrome itself.

This looks like an awesome idea... maybe not suitable for a lot of the things I use my main computer for but it'd be cool to also have one of these to just leave lying around the house for instant and easy internet access.

There are always solutions by Google actually. Tons of companies like twitter are getting ready for this.
This means more apps, extensions, & serious business. I, TokyoGamer7, also have other ideas like the dazzle app and others that are better than final cut pro, windows live movie maker, and other movie edit stuff.

Even some people made something for it. Like the echo smart pen. An ink pen with digital technology that saves your notes to google docs when you lose your notes. So it's better to write your essay on paper than digital computers.

Plus vadgama, Google chrome OS not only has wi-fi, it has 3G. you can get 100mb of data for free by verison wireless. limitless data is 7 dollars per day. 30 and 50GB seems to cost more but not like 100 dollars more.
