as of this morning, one heavy metals greatest performers, Ronnie James Dio, is dead. he will be remembered by everyone who matters as an amazing performer. or the the replacement guy for ozzy, or the guy who did holy diver. regardless of how you knew him, you knew him. hea was a man who had a hand in shaping heavy metal from the very beginning. with elf and rainbow he cemented himself as a performer and than with Dio and Heaven and Hell he showed evryone just how amazing he was. he was able to take the shoes of Ozzy Ozbourne and did it readily and with him, metal wouldnt be where it is today. dio was defeated by stomach cancer...the same "dragon" he was supposed to slay so he could get back to "what he loved" but i guess this dragon was more powerful than even a God. rest in peace ronnie james dio...you willl be missed.
