You missed the point. Cloud's recovery is not that great. If you can successfully gimp Cloud, its all over. Besides, you are berating Jiggs because her flaws are obvious without taking into account that her aerial game is god-like.

Um. Does Jigglypuff even have the ability to get past a cloud who does nothing but sh nair? Utilt, fair, uair, and Blade Beam also cover a ton of space and provide mixups against a clever Jiggly player.

Jigglypuff's punish game against cloud is pretty solid, thanks to a limited combo game and reliable gimping options, but she simply doesn't have the tools to get through Cloud's massive sword. If I may give a comparison, the matchup looks like Marth vs Jigglypuff in Melee, but take out Jiggly's 0HKO and give Marth a projectile and superpowered specials.

I find Shulk to be a good counterpick. He's my worst character and I am able to manage Cloud with better results than some of my better characters.
Shulk's range help combat Cloud's and Shulk's edge guarding is excellent against Cloud. Just wait for the air dodge, Fair, and he's not coming back up.

Link and Ganondorf can give Cloud a run for his money. Ganondorf may not have the best of mobility, but his D-Air and D-Spec both beat Cloud's Climhazzard recovery tactic and once Ganondorf has Cloud off stage, Cloud is doomed to edge-guarding. Link on the other hand has better punish game, a greater projectile game and overall more powerful attacks than Cloud has. Link also has a combo game that makes Cloud kind of cry, as well as a way to beat Cloud's U-Air and recovery methods ten-fold.

These two give him a run for his money.

Mario's really not that good vs cloud. He loses neutral, doesn't combo him that well, and has trouble killing him due to disjoints beating usmash (and other stuff)

Yea fludd and cape seem scary to a recovering cloud but they're just hindrances, mario doesn't win neutral enough vs cloud to really take advantage.

Not to sure about Ganon beating Cloud. Even though he edgeguards Cloud hard due to spikes, EVERYBODY can edgeguard Cloud.

On the other hand, Cloud bodies Ganon in neutral. Cloud's better range and speed, combined with disjoints and insane juggle potential against Ganon's already bad landing means that Cloud racks up damage fast. Ganon has nothing that can beat out spaced Bairs, and can't really approach sh-nair.
