GoldenGlove predicts the entire Brawl Roster

That's right folks, I'm leaving myself incredibly little margin of error as I predict the entire Brawl roster! Behold, in no particular order, my roster prediction.

And now to address potential grievances.

Tom Nook/Other AC Character - "But we've seen Tom Nook and the AC Human in the background of Smashville!" - Firstly I'd like to say that people are way too quick to deconfirm things. Stickers didn't deconfirm trophies, that one random rumor didn't deconfirm ICs, etc. Plus, I'd like to point out that in Melee, while there were characters who had no stage, there were no stages that didn't have a character to accompany them.

Bomberman - Now, there are various characters in the running for coveted 3rd party slots, but I'm calling that Bomberman will get one. For one, Nintendo and Hudson are buddy-buddy (Hudson has developed all 8 mario party games, as well as supporting Virtual Console with TurboGrafX games). For two, his bombs could afford him a great moveset.

Ridley - "No way, he's totally gonna be a boss!" - I will admit that there are strong arguments for both sides, but ultimately I'm predicting him as a character because he's the Metroid series' only recurring villian.

Sheik - "Nuh-uh, Zelda's all twilight princess style now, Sheik is old news!" Allow me to direct you to this article. Also allow me to direct you to the fact that Sheik's presence in OoT was the first time that Zelda did anything significant other than get captured.

Mewtwo/Jigglypuff - "Nah, they'll totally put in Lucario or someone. The 4th generation needs playable representation!" I submit that the 4th generation doesn't need playable representation. Diamond/Pearl may be hot with the younger set, many of which will undoubtedly buy (or rather, force their parents to buy) Brawl, but the fact is, every Pokemon is appealing to that demographic. So while Little Timmy might be disappointed that he can't play as his favorite Diamond/Peal Pokemon, he won't care when he sees there's others that rival his favorites in awesomeness (Mewtwo) and cuteness (Jigglypuff), and even a character that bears a striking resemblence to the one and only Ash Ketchum!

Ness - "But Lucas is gonna replace him for sure!" I reiterate that people are much too quick to deconfirm things, and that he was one of the original 12.

No offense but that list sucks and/or is basically just like every other prediction list (read: incredibly safe character ideas). And I find it funny that instead of actually predicting some characters you just said "An FE character" "A WTF Character" and "A Star Fox character."

If you want to predict, please predict something.

Yeah, I found the entire FE, Star Fox, AC, and WTF characters to counter your orginal intent. You are just covering your bases by putting a generalized statement. Obviously another FE and Star Fox character will show up. We all know that. But you didn't predict which ones. It's like saying: I think another Zelda, Pokemon, and MOTHER characer will appear and saying "that is the brawl roster".

The rest was pretty good.

Yeah, I see where you coming from. But I only did that in a few instances, and only when I wasn't totally confident about which character it would be. Had I been more specific, it would've devolved into a guess rather than a prediction. Hmm...perhaps I will man up and edit my post to have specific characters instead though...point well taken.

As for Bendu, of course they're going to be "safe" (read: reasonable) picks. I'm not going to just suggest random characters for the sake of being unique.

They are all almost identical too.
If you don't have witty comments or entertaining pics, why bother?

Then I shall set this thread abart by actually declaring what the introduction sort of implied, but didn't really state. The preceeding list WILL be the final Brawl roster, I GUARANTEE it

There, now people have a bold, unabashed statement on which to base their flaming (not that anyone here has been flaming, just for the inevitable flamers to come.)

its an ok roster but i agree with everyone else a "i think a starfox char is gonna be in it"isnt really prediction
but the rest of the roster was ok

Well the fact of it is that "reasonable" is going by logic that fans have developed for Brawl. Which isn't even really looking at the past two games closely. Who would have predicted Dr. Mario, Pichu, Marth, Roy, Mr. Game & Watch, and Ice Climbers? They're not all WTF characters, after all. They're just characters nobody really would've thought would've been in Brawl and/or had never heard of.

People are applying logic to it, like "well there's going to be a WTF character." and "There's going to be a Pikmin and an AC character, because those are the biggest new franchises." and then "Well Pit is the retro character. There's no need for anymore!" or maybe even a little "Obviously since F-Zero, Metroid and Earthbound have been around since SSB64 they're going to get more reps!"

You don't know what's reasonable. You're just applying false logic to something that I can almost guarantee you is not as thought out by the developers as it is by the fans.
