Doors open at 11am,
Registration will start at 11:30am and tournament will start around an hour afterward.

Registration will be at 5pm for doubles and will not conflict with the singles if you are still in them.

All matches are best of 3, winners/losers finals best of 5, finals best out of 7
3 stock, 7 minute limit
Ties broken by lives/percentage
Items OFF Smash Balls OFF
Team Attack ON
Life stealing is allowed in doubles

Counterpicks available:
Pokemon Stadium 1
Delfino Plaza
Frigate Orpheon
Luigi's Mansion
Norfair
Halberd
Pokemon Stadium 2
Distant Planet
Hanenbow
Brinstar
Jungle Japes
Onett
Corneria

All other stages are BANNED.
Other Rules

At the start of the match both plays may ban a counterpick for the entire match.

The winner may opt to change character but must pick theirs first before the loser. And the loser must say which stage they are choosing before any new or same characters are chosen.

Your main will be locked in for the whole tournament as your first, to prevent any scouting of what people pick to counter pick match ups.

Mod'ed controls are legal, no turbo controllers are legal.

Glitches or moves potentially infinite making it impossible to get out of are illegal,

such as

Marth chaining lucas/ness
Dedede chain grabbing on a wall or very short across the stage
Dk down tilt on wall
Falco laser lock on the wall
Just a few examples...

I know this sounds like BS but you can dispute them with me personally and I may change them.

Last tournament was around 50 people and we are most likely going to get more.

So come down and show us what you got!!

chris, my bad, i probably cant stay for teams again, but do you think we'll do singles first? if so, i can probably come and bring a wii, but i dont think id have time for doubles and singles

lol no infinites? why ban them they haven't been banned anywhere else. In NYC the only infinite thats banned is De3's stand in place chain grab. i think you should change it because the infinites are part of the game. its what makes certain characters good or give certain characters advantage.

i probably won't come to this but im just letting you know what a majority of other smashers opinions will be.
