The title of this thread says it all. I am organizing an Online tournament for the PT boards. The rules are as follows:
3 stock 8 minutes
Items set to none and off
Stalling is banned.
Ledgecamping for more than 30 seconds is banned. If the opponent ledgecamps for around 30 seconds 3 or more times, and video proof is shown to me, they will forfeit the match and possibly the set.
If opponents disconnect and there is a percentage difference of over 50%, or the opponents have a diffferent number of stocks and proof is presented to me that the person in the lead did not disconnect, they will be given the win for that match.
In case of time running out in a match Sudden Death will NOT be played. It will go by number of stocks and then percentage, with the lower percentage winning. If the percentage is tied as well as the number of stocks when time runs out, a 1 life 4 minute Overtime will be played on the same stage as the match, with the same characters that were being used in the match.
Meta Knights Infinite Dimensional Cape is banned.
If Bowser's Koopa Claw ends a match and the game moves it to a sudden death, the winner will be decided by the 1 stock 4 minute overtime outlined above. This goes for all other suicide tactics that result in sudden death. If a suicide tactic is attempted and a winner is shown at the results screen, that will be the official outcome.
TL;DR : Online is already lame, lets try make it as non-lame as possible please.

General Rules:
Each set will be a best of 3.
The tournament is double elimination.
Winer's Finals Loser's Finals and Grand Finals will be Best of 5.
In game 1 each player will choose a neutral stage that they prefer at the online stage select screen. Whatever stage WFC starts with will be the official stage for game 1. YOU MUST USE one of the 3 Pokemon that PT has in game 1.
After game 1 the loser will quit the group and put the name of their counterpick in their WFC personal message. Once the winner from game 1 sees the message they will host the second game and the stage that was counterpicked will be used. The same process outlined here will be used if a game 3 is necessary.
As far as character counterpicks go, when signing up for the tournament each player will list 2 characters besides PT that they would like to use in the tournament. When choosing characters for games 2 and 3, you must choose PT or one of the other 2 characters you have chosen to use. These characters will be locked as soon as the tournament starts and will not be changes under any circumstance. Meta Knight will NOT be banned.

This tournament will be limited to whoever signs up before November 25th or the first 32 entrants.
Prizes:
1st Place: Any Virtual Console game of your choice will be gifted to you from yours truly.
2nd Place: Any VC game that is 1000 Wii Points or less will be gifted to you from yours truly.
3rd Place: Any VC game that is 800 Wii points or less will be gifted to you from yours truly.
A forum signature/userbar will be made for each of the top 3 which will include their name and placement in the Go For It 1 PT online tournament.
This tournament will be seeded based on your IRL tournament placings or quality of any videos you have provided on the PT forums. As far as scheduling each round will be given a full week to be completed and it is up to the winner of each set to report the results to me.
