"glitched shields" for powershielding

in melee, there's some weird thing that happens (explained by ripple in the link above, scroll down a bit) where marth, roy, and samus can increase the window that they're allowed to powershield with depending on their movement (crouch, dash away, etc.)

does anyone know if this still applies to pm? and if it does, for which characters?

Not necessarily in PM, but by the same token certain characters that could crouch under projectiles can automatically powershield it if they wait till it's passing over them and then hit shield - like crouching Squirtle with falco lasers
