Just to be clear, a gimmick can be described as a strategy that works well currently, but is destined to grow stale an ineffective as more people learn to deal with it. Discuss what current gimmicks are, why they're effective, and propose a solution to work around them.
I have heard many people say that once this game hits the Wii U that Ness will become a lot less effective since the improved control scheme will make it easier to weave around his projectile game. I also think Little Mac is the biggest gimmick in the game and once people learn to extend their combos longer and edgeguard better, Mac will barely have a chance anymore.
So yeah, talk about gimmicks.
