Getting Melee on Nintendo Wii

So i have a wii with brawl/project m
and i have a ISO of melee on my computer
and i don't want 20XX hack pack
can i just put the sd card with the iso on it in the Wii and will it work?
or do i have to get the home-brew channel in order for it to work cus the tutorials weren't completely clear online
what the simplest way to play the melee ISO on my wii?

I used usb loader gx to run a melee iso on my wii, but for some reason the load times were ridiculously long, so the game was unplayable. Still haven't figured out why the loading times were so long.

You need homebrew, you can either get a GCN emulator for Wii (Nintendont) or load it with a launcher like DIOS-MIOS. Look up tutorials for either.
