Getting Back To The Stage?

I have a trouble trying to get back to the stage, opponents always seem to get some good juggles on me, now, are there any solutions?

I try to airdodge, Nair, Dair, and Down B, but the timings are hard and the way I do them makes them seem uneffective to me, could you guys enlighten me on when to do airdodges, nair, dair and down b's so I can actually land on the stage instead of being put back into the air once again? It always seems like when I try my aerials they don't connect, and my opponent usmashes or up tilts me.

Fastfalled Bair always does the trick with a belly-flop hit. Down B should also do the trick in scaring them, and you could also throw grenades if you are thrown to the side.

Just remember, YOU MUST RECOVER!

I mostly try to get above them with the cypher if I can. Snake doesn't do well against most characters in the air, so you have to be tricky. Try and come back with grenades (either lob them, hold onto for protection, or drop with Z) and strategic C4 placement. Sometimes you can get the Fair spike if your opponent gets careless. If you can predict what your opponents going to do air dodges can be useful. Probably the best piece of advice I can give you is to mix it up. Don't let your opponent know what your plan is, or he'll be waiting for you.

I thought you could only drop grenades when you already dropped them (shield drop), not when you pull em out and have them in ur hand

After picking them up again, they work like an item, you can drop it with Z.

Also about the recovery...practice, practice, practice. That's the only way to get your timing right. One trick would be fast falling under an opponent's incoming aerial, then cypher right away and you'll sort of curve up towards the stage ledge. You can also air dodge out of cypher, so try using the momentum you have built up as you're in the cypher and time an air dodge to avoid an attack and make it safely back on.

I had the exact same problem and still do sometimes. I made a topic entirely about this. I think it's called "Having an incredibly hard time recovering" or something along those lines. Pretty good insight on what to do in certain recovery circumstances. Might wanna check it out :chuckle:

Well the situation is somewhat hard to word, but it's not the hard part being getting over the stage, it's landing onto it without getting KO'd
