I always had the feeling that Samus' UpB in NTSC is a bit faster. :O

But if someone knows better, I'd really like to know the truth.

EDIT:

PAL changes:

Can no longer perform the extended grapple
Can no longer bomb out of a grapple
Can wall jump

Also:

UpB - any charging of your Charge Shot will be cancelled if you are hit during this attack in the PAL version of the game.

Regarding Samus' UpB

In NTSC 1.00, I believe multihit moves like Fox's dair, Samus' upB etc works differently. I don't remember the details, but I don't think you can smash DI out of multihit moves in 1.00, and they have no hitlag (???), making them appear much faster.

Someone probably knows the details better than I do.

And Samus can wall jump in both versions lol. The UpB charge shot thing happens in NTSC as well.

I can confirm this. In 1.00 and 1.01, a 1% damage hitbox if it stales below 1.00 damage will have 1 frame of hitlag (instead of the normal minimum of 3), and not be A/S/DIable.
Hitlag is the time during which Smash DI can be inputteded, btw.

I usually do it anyway, most of the time it's flashy and the opponent does not meteor-cancel, and even if he does, it gets him in a bad position, ready to be edgeguarded again.

I played against some Sheik players at RoM3, and I personally didn't find the match-up that worse in NTSC. You have to avoid getting grabbed in all versions, and they know what to do in both of them, so the follow-ups change, but not the outcomes.

Also, having a spike did give me a psychological boost. TheLake knows.
Damn straight, Marths spike is the best thing in melee :D
