Check out the image from a video that was on Brawl Central:

It looks like Geno to me. Does this increase or decrease his chances as a playable character?

I would say it increases his chances.

Considering Geno's popularity, they wouldn't just make him a trophy. At the very least he would be Assist Trophy material.

You know how playable characters have trophies too? Well... I guess this is Geno's.

I can't say it as a fact, but I'm 99% sure it's him.

It looks more like kamek to me. Also, if it were Geno, it would increase his chances cause Nintendo would need to get the rights to use him, and I don't think they'd go to that trouble so he could be something other than a PC.

Way too blurry to tell. Besides, it looks like a Magikoopa to me. Does anybody else notice what appears to be glasses on his head?

Oh, and Kirby Kong thanks for stealing my sig.

Even though I agree (despite blurriness) that that really looks a heck of a lot like SNES Geno, why would he be a random pick-up trophy? Argh! The speculation... Good find, nonetheless.

Ok, firstly shame on Brawlcentral for bringing about needless speculation. Why needless? Because.

1. IF IT IS A GENO TROPHY. Let's just pretend it is. What does it mean? In melee, trophies of playable characters were obtainable either through beating the single player modes or playing with that character in versus for a certain number of hours. If Geno's trophy is just lying about in SSE, this would mean he's NOT playable.

Counter arguments:
- Why would Nintendo get the rights to Geno just for a trophy?
- Brawl is a new game and trophy collection might not be the same.
- It could be a "Classic Geno" trophy, separate from the "Playable Geno" trophy you would get through beating the single player. (Sort of like the Plain-clothes Link trophy from the gameplay video).

2. IT IS NOT A GENO TROPHY.

Either way, all it leads to is more speculation and frankly just a waste of time.

TL;DR Just wait 3 **** days, holy f*ck.

It looks too grainy to me. In that same video, I saw a Buneary (a pokemon) Trophy clear as day.

HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS I SEE BLUE BLUR GENO CONFIRMED!

I was hoping this wasn't posted here because people aren't complete morons here. I was obviously wrong.

Brawl Central needs to realize a majority of its visitors are idiots and think before they post stupid things.

I don't think that trophy would deconfirm him, as I recall I was player melee earlier today on classic mode and I was sure I got a zelda trophy in a mini game, and I know I got a bowser trophy in all-stars mode (without playing as bowser)

Please could anyone tell me where it says you can't get trophies in melee other then beating single player modes, or playing on vs mode a certain number of hours.

You can get Bowser in like his Koopa Kar mobile thing, but you can't get his Classic Mode trophy without completing Classic Mode as him.

EDIT:

Somehow I double posted, again.

I think it was actually a trophy for all star completion mode but you may be right about that, since it was along time ago, still unsure about the zelda trophy, could have been a trophy that looked like zelda.

EDIT: Come to think of it all I'd have to do is see if I have her trophy because on this new saved game, I never completed any mode with zelda, ofcourse I could tell by the score if she has one, if I did or not.

EDIT: Nope I don't, either that or shutting off the power right after getting a trophy does not save it intil you beat classic mode.

I don't understand you guys at all.

R.O.B. trophies being picked up situationally in a random mode defuncts that character, but GENO trophies being picked up situationally in a random mode means it's suddenly a way of acquiring playable character trophies.

At least be neutral on this.

I personally think it's Kamek, or alternately...just SOMEONE WEARING BLUE.

As much as I'm rooting for Geno, QFT.

...blech.

Anyway, I don't think they'd put Geno in a trophy in a demo when he's one of the most requested inclusions. Also, isn't it possible for someone who speaks japanese to just freakin ask the person who posted the video?

Did you not notice the ? marks in the topic title? I said I thought it looked like Geno, but I wanted to see if other people agreed or thought it looked like someone else.
It's not you that I'm kinda annoyed by, at least, it's the people that are replying that are spending too much time on the Jump to Conclusions mat.

You asked a question, which is all you should've rightfully done.
