After reading the posts in this forum for a few months now it seems like the smashboards community has a lot of interesting kick-åss ideas.

My question is, why should we all come up with all these interesting ideas unless someone developing the game is reading these forums? Because, otherwise all these cool new thoughts and speculations are kind of pointless so.. does anyone know if any of the game developers read these forums and whether or not they actually take into consideration any of the cool ideas/thoughts generated here?

Has there ever been a game where functions and stages and characters and special modes were fan requested?

:-o just some food for thought ^_^

I develop the game. No JK lol... but ummm i don't know. If there is someone then they wouldnt reveal themselves, because everyone would be suggesting ideas to him and there would be 100 people in his face at once. But i dont know if there is, I wish. Because a lot of people here have great kick *** ideas that would make the game a lot better

Don't secretly hope that Nintendo of JAPAN development offices are reading this forum, scouring it for ideas to put in the game. Sakurai is the director, and he knows what direction he wants to go in with the game. He asked fans (in JAPAN, see a theme here?) what they wanted in Brawl, and they sent in suggestions. Whether he decides to use these suggestions or not is completely up to his discretion. Yes, everyone believes that their ideas for the game are the best, but just because you like the ideas on this forum doesn't mean Nintendo would.

The point of all this is that it gives us something to do until Brawl comes out.
