General help?

So i'd like to start playing online actually well, so I need a few tips to get better. Is there any good tutorial posts or videos you guys could link to help me, or maybe just your general knowledge.

My play level is sort of good, but it could definitely be better. I know combos and such, but I'm really bad at dodging and always forget to shield and party when im fighting because I'm so focused on the battle. I main Roy, but I do enjoy Bowser and Pit as well.

There's probably a better thread for this, so if there is please someone direct me to it.

If you want advice that's specific to you you'll have to post some replays or something so people can see how you play, and at what level.
