Not a fun game to play online, you have to go to a LAN party/center for it to be enjoyable.

It's enjoyable to me when it's online, as long as people aren't sniper battling

I would never be able to tell the difference between gears 1 and 2.

I have both games, and if someone were to play gears I would not be able to tell the difference between the 2.

According to my brother, the difference is online play. The maps encourage camping, you can't do sniper battles (apparently its a big deal), the grenades were buffed, and overall it didn't excite them as much as they'd hope. :l I hardly play both so I'm saying what you are, I can't tell the difference lol.
