Gathering Cedar Park TX/ Austin

Alright ill be hosting a smash gathering in ACC cypress Creak starting from 3:00 pm every tuesday. we have a pro player that is willing to give advice. we use a plasma screen LG TV.... it kinda lags but feel free to bring in your own TV's.

Bring your own sticks. if it grows we can get more consoles. two of us have wii's and are waiting for brawl release date to get the game and move onto that. we will continue this until further notice.

no food included. we play from 3:00 until it dies out. theres no set time in how long we play. since its small but as soon as we get more we can set times. if you have questions email me at shintoxica@gmail.com

we want this to grow so noobs, pro's come out and support us. i got permission from the ACC office to do this. please act accordingly. no screaming. please no profanity. if you have the urge to splurge your anger step outside =D.

I stopped playing Melee a while back, but once Brawl comes out I might be interested in joining your Smash sessions.

sounds great. i dont have alot of credability here in the boards or tourny wise.. i still consider myself a noob that can wave dash, l cancel, and can at least two stock a pro... but other than that id be glad to meet ya. i tried to get permission from the North Ridge Campus but they were a little hesitant. ill need to talk to the campus manager about it sometime. we might start up a tourny with not really cash prizes but more like rewards if acc is willing to let us host it in their facility. cover fee goes to charity or to the student life or something.

Why Tuesdays? It just seems like an odd day for a Smash gathering especially during the school year. Only a few people I know actually have a 'easy tuesday' or not have a tuesday at school at all XD....

I'm interested in playing some new people in Brawl.
But these session seem almost impossible to make it to, even for me and I live in Austin.

Also, Brawl shouldn't suffer any lag on a LCD TV as long as the Wii is set to a proper resolution settings. Not to mention, depending on the TV there should be a "Game Mode" option, that should help prevent the lag.

Also, my friend has a modded wii with a working version of Brawl that I may be able to convince him to bring or let me borrow.

Well. that sounds good guys. Tuesday is a good day for me because thats when i have class at 1:25 and leave by 2:50 and can throw this all down.any locations within the Cedar Park Vicinity is cool with me but were gona need TV's. i have a 15 inch Flat pannel LCD with Svideo and regular AV slots... but thats not ona be enough for alot of people and im not even sure if it lags never used it.

ok the ACC building there are two of them. the old one which is Building 1000 and has pretty much become the student lounge and the Gov,History, and Testing building. so when you enter through any of the ACC entrance its the first building you see. not the new one behind it =D

nah Cedar parks pretty clost to austin but its not considered austin. Phfluggerville, Roundrock are close to austin just not part of it... but it still gets the same area code Cedar Park is North 183 near Lake line mall. Look up ACC Cypres creek.... or i guess ill link a map.

Pozerwolf, cedar park is pretty far from where u live, its at least a 25 minute drive without traffic, probably more, more like 35ish.....yeah, tuesdays really seem like an odd day to have this....you guys should try to come to our friday sessions at jester, tons of good players to play with, and there is SC and GH too! haha

i got a copy of Brawl. and my Wii is modded. i just need to patch my wii with the Japanese Firmware. but i need about 450 wins to unlock all the chars =D

Pozer wolf. just go to the Drag. and go to the Jester.. its off 21st street. i guess find parking around guadalupe. then walk down 21'st heading towards dobie mall keep walking down until you a wendys thats the building. now head towards that building. depending on where u are you will need to walk towards the glass door kinda close to the smoothie place enter that room and turn left you should see some stairs. ok go down the stairs and u should see a reck room. they usually assembled around 3:00 pm or a little later. Wes one of the best players thath as retired tourny play hangs there.

If you're looking for Brawl, don't come to Jester. There is someone on campus with a modded Wii, and he plays on Fridays, but he doesn't bring his Wii, and in general, the rest of us pretty much think the game is worthless and prefer to just play Melee.

On the other hand, if you're looking for good Melee competition, we're the best around. Although even the mighty Galt doesn't spend much time playing on Fridays anymore... You'd have to be pretty lucky to get a chance to fight him.

Thats kind of harsh to say =/

In general, I'm not too interested in Melee however I do find Brawl more to my competitive liking.
So overall, meeting some brawl players would be nice =)
