My theory is that they changed him so he requires a different style of play to use. A style that nobody has figured out/adapted too yet because the games been out for a few days while everybody else runs around screaming their heads off about why he isn't the melee ganon when hes clearly not made to play that much like the melee ganon.

Why isn't he melee ganon? i'll tell you why. Its because hes the brawl ganon.

Don't get your hopes down man, i'm sure ganon will be usable and effective if played properly.

Weaker up-B too, unlucky guys. He does look kinda...crap but he might look better when you've played as him yourself.

Guys i'm not even talking about how he plays i'm talking about his physical appearance in the game, it just doesn't look as cool as it was in melee.

Guys....that's his Twilight Princess character model. Even his FS is ripped from TP.

Thank you, good night.

I realize that's your opinion, and that it technically can't be wrong.

But I honestly cannot understand how you could possibly think that. To me, the Twilight Princess design is FAR AND AWAY Ganondorf's best design to date. His design in Melee was hideous. His design in Brawl is glorious. The idea that anyone could argue that is beyond me.

I guess I should say that his model is alright it's just the way he stands and moves looks really awkward and dumb to me.

I like both of his ocarina of time and his twilight princess model so it really does not matter to me as both a smash fan and a zelda fan and besides ,is not how he looks is how he plays ,im glad hes no longer a clone ,very happy with that and (please correct me if im wrong ,i have not seen everything about ganon)who knows ,maybe for those that like his ocarina model it will be available as a secondary costume like they did with wario . would that be nice ? it would make everyone happy.

i don't know, the from what i've see he looks like poo from farther away. the colors are all muddy and his body parts make him look like he's an action figure. his design is great, but in gameplay he looks weird is all i mean.

If this was brawl ganon, he would have a unique movest and no longer be a clone.

no, this is not melee ganon or brawl ganon.

this is TP ganon.
they took a look at melee ganon, then took a look at the TP model they were using and said. "how can we make him different from melee without it taking up too much of our time"

the logical answer would be to make his TP look match how slow the TP ganon was .

EDIT:
actually, i take that back.
TP ganon was faster.

I gotta question, Ocarina (aka melee) Ganondorf is bald, but in twilight princess he has a full head of hair even though it takes place much later?

i know its the model from TP but dat doesn't change the fact he does look like ****. the way he moves looks like crap to.

other than that unless they figure out some way to cut ganons lag time then i think i'll be droppin him. hopefully they can figure out a way

Personally, right now i'm calling him brawl ganon based on that this is a new ganon that isn't like the old melee ganon. Its my personal name for em. Both of our theories fit on why we'd call him one or the other.

I still think ganondorf looks fantastic.

Yeah, TP ganon definatly is faster.

I like his TP appareance WAAAAY more than his Ocarina of time appareance. He actually looks like the King of Evil now.

He actually looks like a king now.

the Melee version for me was sick it was more Warrior-King type Ganon that was more sinister and strong

but the Brawl version was like more Pwnager-King type Ganon the only thing weird is his Dair the way it looks compared to Melee

but im not mad at the change hopefully theyll have a retro/tribute melee-costume (doubt it though)

This thread is all a basis of opinion. D:

The OoT Ganon is more nostalgic, but I think I like TP Ganon a bit better... Ever since Wind Waker, Ganon with a beard = awesome. Plus look at all that armor. ARMOR! And a sword taunt, just to bug people! :D

The beard is what makes him awesome as hell.

That and the "stompda****outyou" spike he still got.

And his voice. His friggin voice in TP and Brawl's the best.

I bet they'll have WW Ganondorf as an alternate costume. Makes sense, plus I've seen a screen of WW Ganondorf. OoT Ganondorf....probably not.

The Twilight Princess Ganondorf looks cooler and has a sick twisted voice that sounds awesome. The Ocarina of Time Ganondorf.... well.... he had a very big nose. I didn't mind him. The new one is just so much more devious. Also, his old voice was funnier. Although if it were up to me he'd be voiced by Sean Connery.

Isn't his power somehow rejuvinated, thus restoring his youthful persona?

Also, it could have been that he somehow purposefully gave himself a balding appearance to make him look less threatening to the King, seeing as how he can alter his appearence.

Ganondorf is so powerful, he can look like whatever he wants to. I mean, when you first see him in Twilight Princess, he's just a big glowing faceball of pure awesome.

Ganondorf's Melee design was hideous.
I always wanted an end-OOT Ganondorf in Melee. I always hated his spaceworld look.

TP is definitely his best design to date. Melee Ganon reminded me too much of an Ape for some reason.

Melee ganon was ok---- he more like a bandit than anything else..... was not like the evil eminence he is.

TP ganon looks like a gentleman, of evilnes... he reflects tranquility buit at the same time pure madness.

My complain in brawl is his strange way of moving (which is very similar to his TP movement) but stilll is kind of weird.

Ganondorf wasn't bald in Ocarina. He just has an oddly-shaped head.

Anyway, I think his TP model is cool, but they could've trimmed his waist down slightly. Other than that, I think he looks better. As for how he plays...well, it matters, but at the end of the day I use Ganondorf because I like him as a character, so I won't be jumping ship no matter what. If he has flaws, I'll work around them.

Ganondorf is supposed to look like he aged. TP takes place hundreds of years after the events of OoT. (albeit in parallel timeline). He was rejuvenated though but like all wizards, the older the stronger. In TP you really get that effect of of Ganondorf. He looks like beast, fights like a beast, and even turns into a beast. When you actually see him I don't think many people will be disappointed. I for one love the new look. (his hair style is awesome.)
