GamePro Hates Kriby

I just thought I'd share my anger with everyone.

I stopped at HEB to grab some groceries for college, and I stopped in the magazine section, to see what game news there was. I already had my two (>.<) copies of EGM (Yoshi and DK >.<), so I wasn't expecting anything....

But then, Hey! GamePro is having their Brawl special issue with two collectible covers. I decided to stop and scan the article, and on the last page, I found a section of...

The GOOD, the BAD, and the UGLY.

The good was good, the bad was mainly things they disliked about Melee that they hoped didn't return, but the ugly?

I thought the ugly was ugly.

One of their bullets said something akin to, "Three Kirby representatives? One was MORE than enough."

I can understand a dislike for Dedede (not that I share), but Metaknight is one of the most welcomed new characters, and seriously, they don't even want Kirby?

GamePro..... seriously, WTF!?

Ew. Anyone got scans of this? I'm guessing it's just that one writer's opinion though, don't be blasting the whole magazine just yet.

That's like going right up to Sakurai and saying "uh hey, your characters are stupid. We're glad you didnt put them in Melee and what are they doing here."

If I were Sakurai I wouldn't give them an inch for their article, but then it looks like he didn't really anyway with the lack of new and exciting information therein.

Thats dumb. The three kirby reps are awesome and deserve their rep.

I only picked up a gamepro a few times in the past, and the mag sucks

Sounds pretty stupid, but I've always hated their magazine so they're keeping up with my expectations (or lack thereof).

Anyone have any Scans? I also would love to see the two different covers.

I really doubt any new Info would come from GamePro. Nintendo Power possibly.. but GamePro..no way.

But I stopped getting Gamepro a while ago cause I guess I didn't really like them that much.. Looks like they just hate a lot of things in general.

I'm going to be honest. What pissed me off with GamePro was more of it's complet bias. The Ugly included stuff like "No Motion Control", "Gameplay has hardly changed" and "3 Kirby representatives", etc...It's freaking bull****.

I mean, seriously, their insulting the guy who's MAKING THE FREAKING GAME.

And Goopygoo, I had the exact same thought, like, "Well who DO you want in the game, idiots? I'm sure Master chief and Sam Fisher would be awesome."

No motion control? Well that's just bad journalism, as anyone who could read the Controls update would tlel you.

I think they were talking about the lack of Wii-mote functionality. By that, I mean pointing at the screen or whatever.

They think there's no point to it being a Wii game.

Still, that's just stupid. Not every Wii game has to be played that way.

See, GamePro is filled with manly men. By manly I mean insecure. What's wrong with Kirby characters? Too cute. Oh well. The magazine sucks more than Kirby himself, and I'm happy to see others with a like mind. Their "protips" can be unintentionally hilarious though.

Yes. People who that ask why the hell the game is on the Wii if it has no motion control are stupid. Th answer is simple: The Wii is selling more then water.

GamePro is f***ing dumb. They don't understand the community. Kirby has sold 30 million units-3 TIMES MORE THEN METROID! GamePro obviously likes talking out of their a**. Now I remeber why I get GameInformer...and why it sells the best out of any gaming magazinein the world! :laugh:

Edit: Only retarted people want to play with motion controls. Where's that old retarted-kid motion control picture=??? :laugh: Ya, Halo 3 had no motion control. Was that a bad game=??? Gameplay hardly changed...ya right. The series' changes from game to game MORE THEN ALL OTHER FIGHTING GAMES COMBINED! And please, Meta Knight pwns their n00by a**es anyday. Game Pro is obviously run by the steriotypical GameFAQs-goers. >_<

also note that in their article they reviewed every type of control for brawl and had nothing good to say about any of them including the trusty GC.

Guys... you know... it's just one magazine. And as far as I'm aware, when it comes to gaming mags, Gamepro isn't really looked at as one of the top 10. Or even the top 100.

They're entitled to their opinions, no matter how ignorant it might seem to us. Yes, it's a great injustice, but there's not really much we can do about it, is there?

As long as we enjoy the game, who cares what they say! =)

Hey, that last part hurts. Trust me, there were MANY rage topics about that part over there too... :urg:

But yeah, those people are insecure. They obviously dont understand what the people asked for, since Meta and Dedede were both high scorers on the Melee polls. And of course they dont understand the game if they wanted motion controls. But people, lets calm down. Getting all riled up over this magazine's laughable whining is showing your own insecurity of the game's greatness...

Does GamePro HAVE to put a Good, Bad, Ugly list for the game? If those are the only "ugly" ones they came up with, that's good news for us. I though the "ugly" would be "no communication during online play"

Kirby's Dream Land 2 is the first game I ever received (Christmas with my GameBoy). I have grown up with the franchise and it remains one of my favorites. Gamepro can suck my hairy ****s.

i have this issue, and yeah i thought it was retarted too. i bought it though, because when i am really pumped for a game, i get the magazines cover issues of it. did the same thing for halo three. i already have the older Nintendo power Brawl issue. I got the Mario cover of EGM, and the cover of GamePro with Mario also.
