Gameplay Faster?

It seems to me, judging by recent videos, that the gameplay is faster now than what we saw at E for All or in the past in general. Characters seem less floaty and more similar to a Melee style weight and speed. It may just be me but i was wondering if anybody else noticed it too?

To a certain extent.
It really depends on the people controlling the characters that makes them seem faster/slower.
Yeah I think they're a little less floaty.

Actually, it's really variable. Characters in general MOVE slower, and FLOAT more, while alot of characters ATTACKS are FASTER. I really think that these two things in conjunction were used to balance things away from speed based characters. This means that being fast and agressive is less effective now and is alot harder to pull off without getting hit just as much as you're hitting your enemy.

Yeah. I definitely see it. Once people got used to the physics and started to manipulate the game it looks like it plays alot like melee. And yes, it depends wholly on the player.

In my opinion, it is more of the players making it faster than the developers. They might've increased it a bit, but recent videos have been shelling out more short hops and *fast falls*. Honestly, there was a severe lack of fast falling in many E for All videos, and that really contributes to making Brawl seem more floaty.

Of course, also remember E for All had to use wiimotes a lot of the time, which was just awkward for many Melee vets who were still used to the GC controller, physics aside.
