Gamepad no longer charging

so my Gamepad no longer charges itself. It will if I swap plugs like 50 times and adjust the position of the Gamepad. I'm not sure if it's the cable, the battery pack, or the Gamepad itself. I am not sure if I should replace the whole thing or of its just the cable or battery pack. Considering buying the stand to see if it'll charge that way.

I want to do this as cost effective as possible since my finances are stretched really thin so I can't really throw money into it.

Side note: my wii u is American and Japan has a higher voltage system. My old American laptop's power cable also stopped charging my laptop and I attributed that to the high voltage. Same thing happened to my camera battery charger.

Thoughts?

No idea. I would think it's the controller itself.
