Not sure if this is the right place to post something like this, but does anyone else have problems with their gamepad? Only a few days ago I could bring it into the next room and have it work. Recently it's been disconnecting in the same room. Anyone know of any "quick fixes" for this problem? I'm pretty sure there isn't any 5ghz interference around me. It's been two days now of consistent disconnecting, day and night.

Also, is there anything about transferring save data I should know if I need to replace the system?

I don't think this is the right place to post this but I've experienced this trouble before. Many moons ago my GamePad would not keep a stable connection with the console for its life even being two feet apart. I think you're better off sending it to Nintendo customer service like I did. The repair should be free if your console is still under warranty (but if it's not, it's not really expensive and your Wii U will get a brand new year of warranty when they send it back to you). The whole repair process I went through was fast and I say the service was absolutely fantastic.

And yes, you can do a system transfer to a new Wii U.

Do you or someone nearby have a microwave running while playing, by chance? It easily kills wireless connections, though it could be a number of other factors causing interference, like lead paint, etc.

Hmm...I can't say I have an solutions for this, though I would try re-syncing it if you can. Make sure other Wiimotes are turned off, and that there are no laptops, cell-phones, or other electronic devices that could potentially interfere with the connection. If you do find a fix for it, please be sure to let us know!

I never got this problem. Try contacting Nintendo support to fix it.
