Hey everyone!
Where: Illinois State University, Rosa Parks room, first floor of Watterson Towers.
When: November 15th 12-8
Why: To raise money for the Stepping Stones sexual violence group
Saturday November 15th ISU-UGA will be hosting Game to Give III our semesterly charity gaming event. This year we are hoping for a big turn-out and like both times we'll be hosting a smash tournament.
We'll be playing Brawl using the suggested rules on this site like last time, however there is one catch in that the prize hand outs will be a bit different.
Buy in is $5 but probably only first place (maybe 2nd) will get prize money. Why? Because we are donating half the entry fee to charity (Stepping Stones). It all depends on how many people enter.
That is why we need you to show up!
We'll do doubles, and even an items tournament if people are interested.
That's not all though!
We'll have a huge collection of gaming systems including the NES, TG16, Neo-Geo, and the usual collection of better known systems all set to play for free! Donations are optional aside from the tournament buy-ins.
Buy-ins?
Yea that's right we'll be doing a lot of tournaments this time. Smash, Guitar Hero/Rock Band/ Portal Speed-run, Mario Kart, and even an event where you can win money by beating the UGA members at their best games. Which will include Smash Melee, Brawl, Tekken 5 DR, Super STreet Fighter 2 Turbo, and Pokemon Puzzle League (and more to come.)
Please come out and have a blast!
LASTLY to UIUC members....
We are hoping to have a ISU vs UIUC event at Game to Give. If enough of you guys show up we're planning on doing a large session of various games, but have between the two schools.
Please come by!
