Game breaking melee glitch

So recently I was playing melee with my friends and we discovered a glitch where you could come back to life in teams by pressing the start button after being eliminated. I looked online for it and could'nt find it. What is it, also here's a vid we recorded of it

Hey there! This isn't actually a glitch, it's an intentional feature of the game, known as sharing stocks. If you have been eliminated, and your teammate has more than one stock left, you can take one of your teammate's stocks and use it as your own.

If you look at melee teams matches , you'll see this all the time.

LOL I did this when i was 7 years old
I DONT SAY THIS TO MEAN, but it is common smash-knowledge.
