Gah, School Sucks

Indeed, I've been back at school [sixth form in sunny England] and it's already sucking like hell. I walk around feeling half-dead, already do not care about any of my four subjects and generally find my friends are asshats or straight out rude, obnoxious fellows who I regret meeting. I suppose it takes up the time, though, but meh. How are you guys finding your time back at school?

To rant on a whole other level, today has been particularly bad for me so far today. English Literature is my favourite subject, but today it was mind-numbingly boring. We read about fifteen pages in class, then copied work from a whiteboard, then watched a driveling adaption of it on a casette tape... :urg:

This was then followed by: being ignored by a group of friends as they walked by, being ignored by a friend in the class, being ignored by some black kid in a line who gave me a face like ":ohwell:" when I turned around to greet him. Oh yeah, and the kid in my class just kind of walked away from me at one point when I had been waiting for him for five minutes - awesome. Now I'm at home and confused as to why my day has been so ***, but that's why you guys are assuredly here to tell me it's all my fault somehow.

For reference, I was the guy who made the *****ing / moaning thread a few months ago about failing at school. Well, turns out I passed my exams and such pretty easily, though not brilliantly. I got into sixth form to do the subjects I wanted. Eurgh.

Haha I feel your pain, not enough sleep, food, and stacks of homework.

I'm half dead at school, having a droning physics teacher and watching draining video tapes from 1980s only makes it worse.

It is what almost everybody goes through with at school. Boredom is sometimes part of education, you just need to deal with it.

All just for your knowledge, not to literally bore you.

School does chew away at your mind sometimes, oh well.

I know your pain. Waking up at early hours (trust me at my age 5:30 is just too much for me considering that I have to go to sleep at 8 if I want to bearly go through my day), being the most unpopular kid in class (to the point where no one really feels like talking to you... except those few true friends), having at least one teacher who... well not mean but is just kinda annoying to hear, going outside in PE when the heat is blistering and ending up being benched more times than you play during sports, having a whole ****load of homework, having a class where I really do want to learn but outbursts from other students dont let me concentrate and I end up getting bad grades there due to that, having really nasty looking lunches, etc., etc., etc.

School killed me a long time ago.

It's horrible, and the thought of failing...

I have a love/hate relationship with college. I'm a freshman and I hate classes so **** much but the social aspect of college is the only thing keeping me going here.

This semester has been a complete drag for me so far. But that's probably because of the heavily increased workload. Last semester I was coasting like nobody's business. I literally only showed up to classes on test days and still managed a decent gpa. Don't think I'll be able to pull that off this time.

welcome to the first day of the rest of your life

everybody is else is out to get theirs, you work to live to work to live... ad infinitum - here's my advice. trot out school and uni, doing the bare minimum. when you get to the end of it, if you haven't won the lottery by then, drink a pint of bleach and don't look back.

I know school sucks because I've had my days where I'm like "That was the worst day ever" I really don't like math, but I'm doing alright in Pre-Algebra with a D which is good with me since I've had F's in math since 4th or 5th grade. I really like 8th grade which is better than I thought. Other than math though, school for the most part doesn't suck for me. Oh, I forgot to mention, there is something else that makes me think gah, school sucks. There's this ugly black girl with a skin condition who sits behind me in math class. I often try to scoot my desk up some, but another girl who sits in front of me often complains when I do this, so I have no choice but to scoot my desk back some. (sigh) It'd be nice if we got new seats in math class.

Dude, if you're in Pre-Alg, you're probably only 13 years old. Which means bad **** hasn't even begun to start happening yet in your life.

Trufax. Wait until you have to take the PSAT for practice. Then the SAT. Then the Compass Test. Then you have to study your balls off or fail. Pre-Alg is a walk in the park.

This semester hasn't been to great, and I can blame myself for taking more classes then I can chew. All my school is is projects projects projects in all of the regular classes, and I got stuck in a class that is considered the hardest, and most time consuming out of the classes at school. I also am in Chemistry, and Pre-Cal, but I'm doing so bad in Chemistry I may have to drop it so I can use the spare time to study on Pre-Cal stuff ( I did pretty bad on the last exam for Pre-Cal). This semester hasn't been to great, and I will most likely have to give up a little of my summer vacation to finish retake Chemistry.

ooh look it's smady

I know how you feel. The semester I discovered SWF my grades mildly slipped. It wasn't too bad at all, but my parents have very high expectations for me and... yeah. 9_9

Lol, it's not the same, Wiz. At my level of education, the work jumps insurmountably, you're like thirteen.

They say I have to go. Apparently I can take a friend, to the safari. Yeah, because that's great.

well its a trip.
a trip anywhere should have at least some level of fun-ness.
unless you and your parents dont talk and you have some history.
and/or your parents beat you.
i dont think it is slit throat-worthy. there are plenty of other things that are such as beraking a nail, getting a papercut, tripping on your shoes, etc.

It's not the trip or anything, it's just that I guess I had expectations for when I turned seventeen including social activity, friendships and success that I haven't met.

It's a lot of crap with my friends, too. They really seem to have abandoned me in the past weeks and for no reason at all; I don't get it, but it always happens. You just can't rely on people.
