Smash Journeyman
this is for a school assignment.
as it seems that i can't start a poll/ don't know how i would like your answers to be one of the following and you can explain why you think that.
1.competitive gaming will stay as it is now as a mostly gamer thing .
2. it will be some what popular and it will be broadcast on tv with a small but dedicated viewer base.
3. it will reach the same popularity as hold'em did with people watching turnys on espn for hours at a time and sort of becoming a sport.
4. it reaches the popularity that starcraft enjoys with people packing stadiums to watch their favorite players like with other sports like football or baseball. the best players become famus nation wide appearing in commercials and making money buy selling their image like athletes do.
5. it surpasses the US and Korea and becomes a respected world wide sport having a fifa/Olympics venue with the countries actually caring if they have the best team/players. instead of company's saying they are the official sponsors of the us olympic team they say the officially sponsor the US brawl, halo, etc. team.
ok we all know that competitive gaming is becoming more popular, but the question is how popular. will it stay like it is now or a similar state to that of korea. this is for a school project in which i made my own game(work in progress using rmxp), write a research paper, and do a presentation and this would be nice to add to said presentation.
so respond with your answer ( you can state the number or quote it) and opinion. a opinion from an existing pro gamer would be apreciated.
also this will pop up in other gaming sites like all is brawl, mlg forums, etc. so i can gather better data.
