For those of you who entered the Full Roster Tournament in November, you may know I promised to do it again for the Wii U version. For those who aren't, this is a tournament where we include the whole Smash roster, but only one of each character. There are a few changes this time:
1. Due to all the upcoming DLC and the nature of the tournament, this tournament probably won't happen for a while. Don't expect it to come any earlier than late November, i.e. the anniversary of the Wii U version's release or the first Full Roster Tournament. Once the final DLC character has been released, I will set a time and date for the new tourney.
2. As I promised, I will be doing the Wii U version this time. However, considering the popularity of the 3DS version hasn't completely diminished, I am considering doubling with a 3DS tournament around the same time. Both tournaments will have the full roster respectively. Neither tournament will occur at the same time, so you can play both.
3. Of course some rules, especially stage-wise, may be different for the Wii U version. More information as it comes.
4. This time, I think we should try without customs. Also considering dropping Mii Fighters as well as alternate costumes as characters.
5. As some of you might know, the block system was a hit-and-miss in several ways, so I'll be playing to its strengths and making changes to its weaknesses. I'm considering a multi-day tourney, in which Blocks play on different days. Also, I'll be looking around for more options for chat rooms. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
6. Prizes are still a "maybe." More than likely, I won't be charging any fees.
Other than that, the tournament will be about the same. The brackets will be posted when the times are announced. If you want to reserve your spot, please follow the example and place the following information below:
