Does anyone think Fox will have as high of a learning curve as he does in SSBM? When I got Melee 2 months ago I wanted to start with Fox but the the mere reflexes I had to develop to short hop turned me away from Fox to Marth. So do you think Brawl's Fox will be as difficult to learn as the SSBM version?

Fox isnt really that difficult its just that most other chacters seem easyer.

I cant really picture them changing any acpect of fox because once you master fox, or anyother character, controlling them becomes natural.

Fox is NEVER making it into Brawl with how horrible he was in Melee...

Yes, but when a person is starting to learn ATs their muscle memory requires more practice for Fox. I mean when I began 3 frames to touch a button is pretty quick. >_> Now I can short hop somewhat with Fox but not as consistently as I can with Marth. Waveshine is hard for me and I really can't picture myself mastering it anytime soon. I hope they still have most of the same ATs in Brawl for Fox though. Maybe then I can put in the dedication to play him.

My opinion: I think that fox will be easier to use in brawl. Looking from the in game footage in the trailers so far, it seems as though the game has been slowed down significaltly, making faster character easier to learn

Perhaps it seems that way because the trailer footage shows a more basic level of play?

All I know is that Fox's falling speed has been decreased.

This may affect high-level Fox players somewhat, causing additional effort put in to make up for originally rapid falling speed.

I will cry if they take out the gimpy/"gay" shine spike. Shine spike=win
Perhaps not.

Perhaps it'll be the same.

Perhaps it'll come out slower.

Perhaps I should stop using perhaps.

Time will tell!

Iono about that but that aint going to be a problem for mi since I've pretty much mastered Falco and Fox in Melee :D I just have to get used to a de-cloned Falco...(That better be playable in Brawl...xD)

Ya know, on the dojo sit under Fox's profile, Sakurai doesn't specifically say that the shine can hurt people at point blank range...Wishful thinking, perhaps?

among the figments of your imagination
The shine still does what it always done; the little blue sparkles that come out are what damage opponents. the sparkles are still there, and thus the shine remains the same as far as I can tell. as for speed, here's an interesting thought: did it ever occur to you that there may be reduced gravity on some portions of the Lylat cruse stage? You are fighting is space after all, and the pokemon stadium has a low gravity-like setup with its flying mode.
