Smash Journeyman
I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking:
"okokok, it's fine that I have the general knowledge and tech skill to get those raunchy, vicious, stanky combos off, but what are the best ones versus particular characters? What is going to give the most percent and get the character to where I want him (or her) to be in order to land the smackadelic killsauce?"
For example, let's say right outta the gate, I go up and grab a falco, 0%. Should I chain grab a couple times? Should I go directly into a couple u-tilts then to an up smash? Should I mix in full-jump d-air to shine to thunder combo? What if there are platforms? How do these fracking pros know what combo to use and when? Obviously these things have over 9000 factors, but generally, what kind of combos are going to give you the best result for lowest risk?
Come come, please offer some textual explanations and some video examples of some of those nasty combos against particular characters. Let's analyze why one is better than another.
I'll start off with an example:
Against a peach, my main goal besides campy lasers all up in her heezy, is to drill shine to 80, then up smash. Sometimes this is difficult if the peach plays some tricky DI, but for the most part, this appears to be pretty successful. What method do ya'll use? Perhaps a drill-shine to u-tilt -> u-air?
