forward laser shot

i was wonder if anyone had any good tips on how 2 short hop and shot the laser while also moving froward as u are doin it.....i tried it and haved had much luck wit it all i can do is do the short hop laser but when i try 2 move i mess up and do the illusion attk instead so can sum one help me out...plz

thats probably the problem but y ya change the name from illusion to the phantasm it sounds likr that move i seen when i was a kid

Start running and then jump. Let go of your control stick and hit B then hit down immediatly after you hit b.

i practice that also but all it does is it shoot then shine

That shouldn't happen if you only hit B once. This is the sequence (in greater detail):

1. Run forward
2. Short hop
3. While you are still rising, return the stick to neutral and hit B. The forward momentum should keep you going in your original direction of travel.
4. (optional) Hit down on the control stick to fastfall the laser
5. Hit the ground.

Now you are in a position to repeat the process all over again.

Does that help at all?

if you're shooting a laser then shining it's because you hit b again when you landed.
try just shooting the laser without fastfalling until you get a basic feel for it. then move on to the next step.
it's a pain to learn (it took me about a month to do it consistently) but it's well worth the effort.

I think you should just press B really fast and let it go ... dont let it pressed a while, just tap it fast, or just dont press it again. :S

yeah i tried the others guys tip and it worked perfectly but not at 100% like i would like but it would be 100% when i master thx ppls

if these tips are working then all you need to do now is practice doing it.
use it more in matches and you'll notice yourself messing up less and less.

EIther as stated run and then do it or as ina post a while back flick the stick so you smash it in the direction you want and then release but still starting your short hopped laser best way to gain distance while SHLing

ive never had a problem moving with the shl once i learned how to do it. i used to only be able to do it in place till my pal loki was like just dash before you do it. and yea so you dash, you press b, you hit down, you dash, press b, hit down, etc. its exactly like doing it in place but do a dash before doing it.

its all kool know i purty much got it down but its styill not that ez for me
