err not to advertise, but if you want more forum mafia action, I can direct you to some sites if you haven't already found them, like mafiascum.net, wifom.net, and MTGSalvation.com.

I might also recycle my Fire Emblem mafia game, once it ends on 'scum. It's a "mini theme", or is a little "weird" as normal mafia mechanics go, but is overall balanced.

I think axemangx meant that he thought he could sign up to play in mafia games, not host, in which case he was wrong.

Anyway, sign me up as "1960's Music Explosion". Add, "hemightbegiant" in the host mentioning too. He isn't really going to host or play in it, but he has been a huge help on deciding which artists to have.

Also, any suggestions on how many players I should aim to have? I can tell you now that the 60's had a **** load of creative music, and I'm aiming for a 40-45 player/figure range. Seeing as Eor's Hellhouse game has 30 players in it, I don't think it's unreasonable to go for that range, as I think more people will be into these games by the time mine gets rolling(I'm #16 on the list, and I'm willing to say at least 10 of those games will actually be made).

Another thing, when my game finally does get going, am I allowed to reserve spots and deny entrance into the game(Dark_Ermac in Hellhouse mafia), as long as I have good reason too? Should there be a policy on this, like half of the players are allowed to be reserved or something? It should be rather lenient though, until the group of mafia players grows.

You can reserve/deny who you want, as it is your game, though you should be responsible enough to not be an *** about it. I knew a lot of people would join mine, so I PMed the more active/known players to reserve spots to try and make sure that inactivity wouldn't kill it, then denied a spot to Dark Ermac because I don't believe he would add anything to the game, just like if he was Zman. So you can do the same, though you shouldn't just reserve for your friends/deny people you don't like. I have no problems with Ermac, and I'm not exactly best friends with all the people I reserved for, so yeah, be responsible and other mumbo jumbo like that.

I wasn't questioning your decision to deny Dark Ermac, I would've done the same thing in your situation, which is why I asked the question in the first place.

And yeah, I know not to just let all my friends in on it and deny people I don't like, I'll invite people based on activity.

I was wondering about whether or not this is a valid game: Smaller and smaller and smaller. We start with something like "The sun" and then every time someone would post something smaller than the one above, BUT you have to go slowly.

Ex: "Venus", "Earth", "Australia", "New York", "NYC", "Lake champlain", "A swimming pool", "A house" and eventually "An oven", "A microwave" ect. Not that the things don't need to be connected or specific.

NOT EXXAMPLE: "Washington D.C", "ZOMG A KITTEN!".

Would this game work? (When we get down to atoms we could get bigger and bigger and so on)

just a guess but when you said mafia signups my understanding was to host a mafia game if you need to sign up just do it right away when it the game comes. i would say that egrunts and some others should wait till it comes out. srry if i'm wrong but theres no point to take reservations now, srry if i'm acting like a mod but anyway.
this is drtwist i have a game up there.
