I was bored and just had something come off the top of my head,so here it is:

Force Smash

What is it? It's an enhanced version of a smash attack that can cause more damage nad knockback, but timing the attack in combat is essential.

Performing the attack

While you are charging a smash attack,Smash the Joy-Stick in the designated direction of the first smash attack(Basically if you did a forwards smash attack, while charging, smash forward). The result is the animation will change(Example:Mario's forward smash animation will change; Mario will insted thrust both of his palms forward and cause a more focused explosive blast with a slight increase in range) and a stronger attack will unleash. The knockback and damage of each attack will increase by 30% of the original maximum damage and knockback of the regular smash attack.

Side Effects

Even though the attack is stronger, there are side effects. For one the amount of frames on the attacks are about 25%-30% more frames than the original smash attack. When the attack comes in contact with the opponent, the force of the attack will cause recoil damage=25% of the damage inflicted on the opponent.

Force Smash Cancel

If you don't want to activate your force smash, you can cancel it my pressing L or R within the first second of the attack.A light flash will appear if you cancel it,and the attack will go directly into a normal smash attack. The attack will come out some what quicker because you canceled the force smash animation,it can be very useful for an unpredictable attack, but you will still take about 1/4 damage if the smash attack comes in contact with your opponent.Try to use your moves wisely.

I know this idea isn't that great but hey...I was bored. ; )

Yeah the idea would be useless because if regular smashes (not like foxes upsmash :/) are hard enough to hit the opponent with. Then imagine trying to hit the forced smash by first charging a little then having to deal with the 30% more lag than a csticked smash (I assume that is what you meant by the lag). You must have been really bored to post this but I do not blame you for being bored. Same problem with me.

forced smash attack= new volcanoe kick :chuckle: double fire palm sounds sort of sexy.

I would like to see Smash Cancelling for just regular smashes, also. These Force Smashes go a little overboard. I mean, you can charge a Smash already, so why add to that? Some damages obtained by charging certain Smashes already (Peach's Dsmash, in particular) are already insane and, in a sense, it already has implemented that timing aspect you were incorperating into your idea (When to charge a Smash and not get punished).

Being able to cancel a Smash is something that I would very much like to see, however.

If you were able to cancel a regular smash attack, that would be going overboard. This was just intentional for FFA battles.

But hey,I never really expected anyone to like this idea anyway.I guess i'll just the topic die.
