Fingers crossed for Bowser Jr. with Koopaling alts, everyone! It makes sense honestly, Bpwser Jr. and the seven Koopalings would in total make 8 alts, which is what every character gets in the game. At first, I was a little fan-ragey that Bowser Jr. was getting in over Paper Mario as a Mario series newcomer, but from the leaked footage of Bowser Jr. that hopefully everyone here saw, he looks like a fantastic and fun character. So I'm totally down, he might even be my secondary main.

People are betting on the game breaking street date in a few places. This usually happens with at least one shop with a major release and shipments usually come in on or around Tuesdays for businesses. Since Japan is half a day ahead of the US, people are expecting someone to have the game before the night is over in the states. I doubt we'll know everything by then if that's true though. It's still gonna take time to unlock characters. I'd give it about 4 hours if someone just grinds matches.

Either way. That's where the "tonight" estimate is coming from.

He gets shot down and the camera pans towards the ground with the Duck Hunt Dog holding a Nintendo Zapper.
"DHD shoots the competition down!"

Cue footage of DHD in action along with sick NES rock guitar remix.

The video ends with Ridley on the ground saying "I'll get my chance another day."
After Ridley is picked up by the dog -by the neck- and the dog laughs as the video fades to black.

In my defense, I wouldn't have said anything if someone didn't decide to directly call out my wording on that. Otherwise, I'd be doing an equally long post on how breaking street date isn't technically a leak, because it's not internal from the company.

Also, I'm not really sure we'd get a G&W+ROB trailer since we've already seen Game and Watch in the Pac-man trailer and neither of those characters are new. Maybe ROB and Duck Hunt Dog, but probably not Game and Watch.

By the way, guys. I wouldn't get your hopes up on the Smash 3DS box just yet. It's likely someone printed out a sleeve mock-up and just slipped it under the case of another game (which has happened with major releases before just to get attention). I'd wait until someone actually tries to put up a stream or posts footage.

You shouldn't really expect anything, going off of past Treehouse events.

There almost HAS to be a trailer at ONE of the events though. Sakurai made it sound like they had at least 2 (maybe) reveal trailers after Robin/Lucina, meaning Shulk and one more. If there IS one, they HAVE to reveal it BEFORE the 3DS game comes out, otherwise it defeats the purpose. Nobody is going to be excited for a reveal trailer for a character that they already have access to.

If NOA/Sakurai were smart, they'd attempt to cut off leakers/Japan and just have a massive reveal of the full cast and have it be kind of similar to the SSB4 reveal trailer, showing off tons of characters, or multi-reveal like Robin's or Greninja's.

There's no way they can stop early leaks, but NOA will have lost any excitement they could provide once the game hits Japan, which is the only reason they're going to stream the build in the first place, to direct attention to them, so not revealing anything would be dumb.

I don't care if they reveal everything, or more likely don't, but it will be a missed opportunity to show us high quality footage/trailers of all the characters being our first view of them instead of more lulzy quality pics & video.
