Just got the 3ds version this weekend, even though I said I would wait for the Wii U version. You guys were right, the game is FANTASTIC! For a handheld smash of course. It has more features than 64, and matches Melee's features. However, it has NOWHERE NEAR the amount of content Brawl had. This is to be expected because the game is on 3ds, and it runs BEAUTIFULLY I must say. However, there are a few features that are missing from the 3ds version, that I hope are present in the Wii U version.

- Target Test
- Event matches (or TOS leak)
- Adventure Mode (Melee style, not SSE.)
- More new stages. The 3ds version had WAY too many classic stages, and some characters didn't even get a new stage in that version.
- Item rate customization.
- Special Smash

Anything else you guys can think of?

-Bring back all of the basic modes Brawl/Melee had (special smash, tourney, target test etc.).
-Have an adventure mode. Doesn't need to be big like the SSE, but maybe something like Melee's where you go through different Nintendo areas.
-If no adventure mode, I'd like a ton of new stages.
-An option to turn of stage hazards. The Yellow Devil is really annoying, and I never play on the Magicant stage because of the Flying Men.
-More "basic" stages. What I mean is stages that don't require you to move around or have major stage hazards. I noticed the 3DS version has a lot of these types of stages.
-Old classic mode back. Not sure if the new version was been confirmed for the Wii U, but if not I'd really like the one used in the older games.

I'd like Wario's minor animation bug on his bike victory pose fixed: he should pull his mustache. In Brawl he does, and his 'stache moves in other animations, so there is no reason why it shouldn't, and it really bothers me.

For the fourth one, can't you just play on the Omega form of the stage?

I'd still like to play on the normal versions of the stages. Sure it's not that different for the Megaman stage, but the Magicant stage is really unique and has different types of moving platforms with not that many hazards (aside from the Flying Men of course).

Oh, I see now. But I'm pretty sure the team wouldn't want to make that addition, because they already spent thier time making a hazardless version of every stage.

Not really. The 3DS was built around portability. I'm sure the Wii U version will be the Smash we're more used to.

Blast zones are a tiny bit too far. Maybe move them in a bit to knock off 20-30% required to kill to slightly speed the game up a bit.

Maybe it's just the fact it's on hand held, but I did love the brawl custom stage builder. I just thought it was fun to see the stages that people came up with, and the infamous "box" that people loved playing in and you would just bounce everywhere.

it's really stupid, and really childish, and isn't really a fix, but I'd like to see it again in the WiiU version.

As would I. I too, am a lover of the "Fun Box."

In the E3 invitational, they were turning items lower and lower the closer they got to grand finals, so im sure it'll be in the final game.

As for stuff i want "fixed", well im not going to write it all but BRING BACK STANIMA MODE!

Seconding item rate customization. Any match with items turns into nothing more than people just chucking items at each other because the rate is so darn high. This needs to be fixed!

I'm looking forward to lagless multiplayer. I see lag even when I play sitting next to my roommate. I don't understand why.

I'd love to see event matches come back.

I want Classic Mode to be longer. Classic Mode in the original SSB just felt more satisfying for some reason.

Poke floats should come back.

Assist Trophies are a bit too potent. They last such a long time and are really hard to deal with. I'd like to see them nerfed a bit.

Make blastzones smaller, shieldstun higher, airdodges more cooldown, keep momentum in jumps, fix character special moves not spawning projectiles when there's "too many", and give us more options as far as gamemode and control settings are concerned.

Sadly, I'm not expecting any of these.

Could you give an example of this? I've never heard of something like that yet
Link/Toon Link can only have 2 bombs out on the field. If they try to pull another bomb, they just pull air out their pockets. Samus can only shoot 1 Super Missile before nothing comes out. Megaman can only have 1 Metal Blade on the field or he does a fancy karate chop.

I realise some of these were made for the sake of "balancing", especially Diddy Kong's bananas, but for others it just makes these already weak projectiles even less usable. Samus' missiles being the biggest offender. It also makes little sense when characters like Robin and Peach have no restrictions on how many of their projectiles can be out at a time.

Wow, yeah that actually makes no sense at all. The missles and bombs make no sense, seeing as how they were fine before. Metal Blade might make sense from a programming perspective but I'm not super knowledgeable about that so I can't really say. And yeah, if ROB and Peach (even though having more than two turnips on screen with Peach in this game usually doesn't happen) can do it, I don't see the need to place restrictions on the Links or Mega Man. I suppose since they are projectile heavy characters it makes more sense, but so is Robin. WAT

There should be some sort of way to show the players ping during the character select screen so you have some idea if it's going to lag or not, instead of having to go into battle to find out. Shouldn't be too hard to implement and it'll reduce the amount of laggy match ups. I normally have lagless matches but when it does lag it lags like crazy so ping could indicate that easily.

Sakurai did say all characters would play identically between both versions, so changing any movesets/etc. would alienate the other game owner if applicable. Same reason for the same roster(not to say more characters can't come in one version at first with the rest being available for the other, shortly after or right away).

Anyway;

-Bonus Mode: No effect on how a character plays, but is fun.
-Coin Mode: Probably a lag issue due to too many objects on the screen(doesn't explain Bonus Mode missing in the 3DS version) returning. It's a fun mode, although I take Bonus over it any day.
-More space for Individual Target Tests now. Or more in general.
-3DS' Classic Mode was fine, but a separate one that has more stuff to do would be cool too.
-Item Ratios and more Items. I.E. Red Shell. I could see the Item list being the same, but the ratios back.
-When they're all unlocked, an Assist Trophy/Poke Ball/Master Ball ratio for which one shows up. Might've been less of an issue for Poke Balls in earlier games, since some "cute" Legendaries drop items like Trophies, so... I can see why controlling which one shows up could be a bad thing. I mean, the other modes would be lesser used, so the decision is still reasonable.
-A full opening as well as all the character trailers.
-Since it has no effect on gameplay, different victory themes or victory poses would be cool. I do realize re-animating every pose is kind of hard, so victory theme updates is fine.
-Announce major DLC outside of a Mode and basic balance/bug fixes, please.
-Assist Trophies that have less lag/framerate issues.
-The return of Adventure Mode(I doubt SSE would work since the biggest seller of it was the cutscenes alone).
-I cannot erase any data beyond erasing the full game data from the SD Card. Seriously, just no. Let me erase characters so I can unlock them again, Etc. Any Trophy or Music I would erase could easily be gettable as a Random Drop if you already met the original unlock condition. Same with Stages, etc.
-All-Star Mode was fine in the 3DS version, imo. Make it more like Melee this time, by setting you up against 1, then 2, then 3, then 4 enemies after a while. And a random final battle akin to the 25 Mr. Game & Watches. You could move the number of enemies up or down based upon who you fight as well. And of course weaken/strengthen them slightly based upon the number alone. Much like how many Fighting Teams are weaker than general characters.
-Smash Run having Race to the Finish back is nice. Return it as a separate mode, please. Whether it's platform heavy enough to be similar to a combination of this and Board the Platforms, or closer to the 64 version, by fighting a random member of a Fighting Mii Team, using one of each style(and no custom power-ups, but random custom moves cause that's how they work. Or no specials, I guess. Either way, show all 3 styles).
-I want my Event Mode(I mean, if Tower of Smash is real, it's the same idea to a degree, but eh) back.
-I would not mind an optional mini-game to find Trophies, much like Coin Launcher. It was not a bad thing, it's just that it also allowed you to get Stickers... which were a dime a dozen. In other words, make every type of collectable material available somewhat easily with none overpushed while others were harder to get than they should be. For the record, Trophy Rush costs too many to play for me to like it.
-Special. Smash. Yeah.

Ridley/Isaac/full and symmetrical character screen.

And more realistically, Event Mode, Special Smash (Smash Run doesn't cover my Stamina fix), and a larger music selection (I really wish I could just... never have anything but Fever play on Pictochat).

Yes, I left off Adventure Mode. Smash Run covers that for me, personally.

I just want Battlefield version of most stages and make that the meta online in for glory. So I would stop seeing little Mac's every other game

I think this was done on purpose. Combined with the slower fall speed and increased aerial effectiveness overall (from what I've experienced), this game was meant to have a greater focus on off-platform play.

I would like to see the complete lack of Golden Sun content fixed. That is an absolute disgrace.

I'd also like to see duplicate unlockables removed.
