Set standard attacks to the strum bar and treat combos like guitar solos!

Wow Puffs, that is haxx.

I'm going to try playing EVERY game with the GH3 controller. I'm just waiting until the bugs are worked out. I've played GH3 at friends houses, and the controllers aren't very responsive, so I'm going to wait it out.

The only control types which actually add something are:

Wiimote
Wiimote + Chuck
Classic
GCN
---
GHIII
Dance Mat
Bongo

The rest are just hacks of other controls and actually play the same as the original. And even though the GHIII might be a classic controller hax, it actually plays very differently.

It's been officially confirmed that wavedashing is back in ONLY if you use the Guitar Hero 3 controller.

All of this is made up. This is a really stupid thread other than stating your "Dream Fake Control Schemes"
I highly doubt you would use any of them anyways even if they did work (execpt the Link sword and sheild).

Actually I am very strongly considering the GH3 controller and will try it at the very least.

Considering it does have the analog stick in the corner, and the five buttons are going to be customizable, then I see no reason why it wouldn't work. If it's ridiculously difficult to use for some reason (eg a lot less responsive) then of course it wouldn't work. But I don't see that being an issue, since you know, people do have to play Guitar Hero 3 with it.

Isn't the point to have fun anyway?

Edit: and why the Link sword/shield combo over the other ones that actually have a chance at working? That is no different than just playing with the Nunchuck controller

N64 TO GAMECUBE ADAPTER!

You win. That is almost as awesome as the GHIII controller, and looks easier to use.

Please, if you have a link to instructions for that, I NEED THEM. I've got random N64 extension cords I could rip up, and I could easily find one for the GameCube.
