While messing around this morning with luigi I discovered that luigi has a fireball lock much similar to falco's laser lock. This may already be known, if it is I apologize for cluttering the boards however I did search for a while and couldn't find anything about it. I can supply video if needed.

i'd like to see a video, luigi's projectile moves much slower than falco's. Did you try it on a human that knows how to tech? This would be a great discovery (work work well with the dtilt trip) if it works, but the differences between falco's laser and luigi's fireball make me skeptical.

Yea I've known this for quite a while.

Luigi's fireball has the properties to "lock" but it moves to slow therefore an opponent can tech out of it.

It would have been cool that it would have locked.

Either way it does provide fore some interesting setups.

(trip opponent)>Fireball> attack of choosing etc.

Why is that peoples can find a discovery about Luigi, and not me? >.> Is it random or something?
You mean other than being lucky and playing alot? Try doing random matches online. Adjusting (not permanently, mind you) to the chaos of item-chucking noobs makes you pull out some crazy stuff. If you are lucky, it might just be useful. [that's how i found the anti-mach tornado tech] Another thing is any time you see something weird, that doesn't add up, try to reproduce it. If you can, explore possible uses. If you find that it might be remotely useful, post it on the boards, and comments from others might just lead you to think of it differently, and make a discovery. Worst case scenario: it's completely useless. [That goes for anyone, making discoveries is a key part of advancing a character's metagame; think of what snake boosting did to snake's game...]
