This is a Fire Emblem alright.

Except they tossed away all the good parts, like a decent story. Dialogue is horrendous. Characters are lifeless, so changing them into another class doesn't tamper with their persona, because they don't have one.

This game is indeed odd. NM is loleasy and Merciless will make you **** in your pants if you don't know what you're doing.

I don't really understand the gaiden chapter requirements though. My best guess is that everyone's dying in Merciless and the characters you get in gaidens are mostly above average.

IS better pick up the slack if they want FE to be bigger.

Yeah, they do exist. I'd consider it a bad policy for a dev to say, "oh they'll just emulate it and get a translation patch". That's basically just saying that they're going to let fans do the work for them. Besides, I'd rather have a handheld version of the game so I can play on the go.

Besides, technically emulation is illegal so why would a company acknowledge the existence of a translated ROM?

FE9 was made all around easier.
FE10, battle saves were added and in the original you needed an item to get to third tier(in ours we just had to level up enough.) I don't know if enemy stats were changed but ether way both of these games had major changes done to them.

Edit: oh and something to do with points in order to forge weapons was taken out of FE10

Edit2:

there we go, a list of changes.
hmm, seems I answered my own question. >_>

You say that as if it's a bad thing. D:

Bowser King...It isn't the fake version...It's the same file that's on the **** disc/cartridge except it is displayed on a computer monitor. It's not fake. It's the actual game file. Only the display is different...

Brawl+ isn't a fake game now, is it?

FE10 is too easy and broken. Very bad. BEXP made your characters into an army of Terminators. FE9 JP on Maniac was hard. The 3D FE's, in general, were just bleh, though. They're *okay*...

As I said before...FE3-5 were the best. FE6 was the best of the GBA's. Try them out if you guys haven't.

Bloody, you're going on a slippery slope there.

I can't find a decent translation patch for FE1 or 3, so I don't know what this game is like. It's pretty much like all other fire emblem games. If youve played one fire emblem youve basically played them all. I'm just itchin for another one to play on a handheld system after beating Rekka no Ken (FE7). You can't really expect them to plan on everyone just roming the dang thing! Not to mention, like BloodyPuppy said, Fire emblem is good for when you're on the go for some reason. Its okay for the story to be dead (and since when WAS this story dead?!) because you still have the tactical roleplay to look forward to. I really do wish this was a remake of the third in stead of the first. As for class swap.... what the crap is it?

Class swapping is perfect for the lifeless bricks the characters are, anyway.

"Oh, I'm a pirate. Lemme join you!"

"Oh, we're three fighters! We'll fight for you!"

AND THAT'S ALL THEY SAY THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE GAME. Support Conversations being taken out? Extremely lame. It makes the characters seem unmemorable. At least Marth is cool.

And uh, the story in FE's haven't been all that great lately... >_>. Yep, SFC wins in this department again.
---
That reminds me, even the art designer for the characters looks lame. Look at Marth's pants (At least he has some this time) in the official art...Jesus. Smuggling melons, there?

But FE4's art has to have been the worst...lmao.

Best on GBA's isn't saying much. FE6 actually gets a lot of hate for dumbing down the series in its transition from 5. I thought that the 3D ones were okay, but I prefer the SNES games. FE8 is pretty much the worst being utterly grindtastic with bad characters, though I've heard gaiden has a lot of grind too.

And how was that slippery slope? I gave a few reasons that a remake isn't a bad call. Slippery slope is if I say something like "If they don't release FE1 in English then nobody will ever play it and FE will die!".

Okay.

But, the reason I say FE6 is good out of the GBA's (Yes, just them now in this context) is because it's the hardest of the three.

Still, I'd rather have the real game then the emulator version.

FE10 was easy but it was still fun. The royal laguz were broken but if you choose to play without them it becomes a pretty fun game.

I preferred the 2-D as well but the 3-D games weren't half bad.

Were there support convo's in the original? I'm not sure but if there weren't I think it's justifiable. It's a remake for those who haven't played the original. If you have then I see no point of buying it.

I suppose it's got that on the other GBA FE games, but some of the characters were meh, and the character endings were awful. I don't think that FE7 was much worse, and Hector Hard Mode provides a pretty good challenge.

In FE1 and 3, character pairings already had bonuses when standing next to each other (i.e. Marth and Sheeda gain a CRT Bonus I think). No Support Convos at all. The same is with FE11...Sadly. The characters really are lifeless brick walls. :/

FE7 is good too, Bloody. It's a toss up between both but I just prefer FE6 for difficulty...And Lilina. <_< LOL.

Anyway, I'm done ranting about this game now. I didn't mean to offend. I just have to get it off my chest like that since it relieves the little stress I receive when I think about this game...And I'm weird.

I actually agree with everything that Kosuke said, LOL.

I'll probably try this game out once the game becomes cheaper. Plus I still need to finish FE5. Stupid Fog of War maps!

Last time I checked, that's what a remake is supposed to be. Again, if you already own FE1, I see no point in you buying it. This game is basically the same as FE1 but with a better look.
I don't see why your looking for something new. There are gamers out there who don't know how to speak japanese or want to download an emulator. This game is for them.

If you want a new FE then wait until the next one is announced >_>

Well, we are getting a remake of a game that has had a remake already and not only that I believe FE11 does not have the second half of the game added to FE3.

It's a bit annoying getting a remake of a game already remade when FE4, 5, or 6 could be getting this treatment.

FE4 is the greatest FE of all time.
What? I think this one was pretty unmemorable. I like Nine, Seven, and Six the best of all. My opinion really can't be stirred from thinking that this is a good game. You can say its lame, you can say its great! But PLEASE let us decide when its actually released in the U.S.
