Yup, I don't care about Mewtwo but I voted yes for exactly that reason. When ever Nintendo asks if I bought something because of one of their deals I say yes (like the Mario Kart free game deal) because that makes future deals more likely.

So far, I've only managed to get her Homs trophy. Still no sign of Face Nemesis or Mecha-Fiora yet.

But one thing is that Mecha-Fiora and Riki are my favorite items in Smash Tour mode.

I'd personally prefer Dunban/Riki over Fiora just because of how useful the Shulk/Dunban/Riki team is in Xenoblade.

Riki being an assist trophy basically says to me that he has a higher chance of getting in as a playable character at any point than any other Xenoblade rep, although once X comes out Elma or the avatar from that game is gonna become a higher priority.

Also, Speed Armor as an alt? Not likely. Sure, there's tons of fanservice already, but I think Speed Frame Fiora might be even more fanservicey than Shorts ZSS. I'd like to point out that we still don't have cleavage (which is probably a good thing, this game is rated E10 guys)

Plus this is like super major spoilers, more major spoilers than Mother 3, and a whole lot of people are going to have their Xenoblade experience messed up.

(Also Blossom Dance as Final Slash would be too great)

I will concede that Fiora is the most likely candidate for DLC, being that Riki and Dunban are already in the game to some non-trophy extent. It's just that Fiora is not my favorite Xenoblade character, only beating Reyn and Sharla in terms of the party (because both of them become completely useless after you get Riki)

Also imagine what Melia would be like in Smash, that would be interesting. Down-B could be summoning elementals, regular B could be discharging. Final Smash would be Mind Blast, and idk about Side and Up B :/

Might as well stick me onto the list, I'm always up for more Xenoblade content

Spoiling Xenoblade is definitely a criminal offense, with a life sentence. However, we all know the man behind this game doesn't give a whoop-de-doo about that.

Melia would be super awesome and unique. Up b could be Spear Break + Starlight Kick combo, side B maybe Mind Blast that could seal the opponents side b temporarily, or Shadow Stitch or something, down b and neutral just like you said, and all the buffs and carrying 3 elements at the same time. She probably would have an Element Burst mode, or even as a Final Smash, but that's where the problem comes in. It'd take an enormous amount of programming just to make her work like she does in Xenoblade.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love any Xenoblade character but it seems most of the time characters are picked based on uniqueness and story combined, so Fiora or Melia are the most likely two in my eyes. They actually happen to be my two favorite characters in the game, so uh..yay....?

/Riki and Dunban would also be super cool tho. BORN IN A WORLD OF STRIFE

Actually, a lot of Xenoblade stuff in Smash doesn't make too much sense. Why Riki for Chain Attack instead of Fiora/Reyn and Dunban? I also thought for sure Fiora or Reyn would show up in one of Shulk's victory screens like Chrom & Robin.

Heropon need to make sure that sidekick do good.

That does strike me as a strange move, though, given that Riki is also an Assist Trophy and that could get really confusing. Maybe they had to cut corners with the 3DS cart's storage space. Maybe they're planning to add Fiora as DLC

Chrom is kind of understandable being that he's in Robin's Final Smash, but Little Mac's the one that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I'd be totally fine with a victory screen that has Reyn patting Shulk on the back a little too hard, like he does in some of the cutscenes, although "This is a good result!" is perfect.

btw does anyone else feel like Buster should do extra damage against Samus, R.O.B., and Megaman

Riki always sounded like AT material for me. What I find weird is that Riki is in Shulk's final smash, as opposed to Fiora, Melia or Reyn.

I know this is going to sound stupid and petty, but I did not enjoy Kid Icarus: Uprising at all (the gameplay, the controls because I'm a leftie, and the attempts at comedy). I admit to leaning towards villains in an argument about 65% of the time, and Palutena's character from that game was somebody I could not tolerate because she came off as lazy and annoying. Medusa, on the other hand, I sided with and wished that she had a much bigger impact in the story than what she actually did (and, hopefully, make a Smash Bros. appearance once of these installments, but that's a pipe dream). Maybe it's because I am a bit of a grump in real-life.

I can tolerate fanservice from a character that I can respect, and if I wasn't a fan of Palutena, I wasn't going to enjoy some of the stuff she's allowed to do.

Fiora, on the other hand, not only do I tolerate, but I absolutely respect, considering the adversaty she went through, and when you finally get her back, she is ready to fight the world.

And, given what she now has in possession, can beat the world, too.

I'm 98% sure Riki was used in the Final Smash because he already had a fully functioning 3D Smash model made for his Assist Trophy. Riki and Nopon in general have been acting as Monolithsoft's mascot for a little while now so he made complete sense as an AT. Doubling up was a smart allocation of resources in this case.

If it was up to me, though, I would have had Riki as an AT with Reyn and Dunban in the Final Smash. Eventual Fiora DLC could include Sharla and Melia in her Final Smash to even things out a bit.

Ehhh... I'd hope not. Mecha Fiora sounds like a robot and she isn't a robot, she's Fiora. Mecha Fiora is a spoiler on top of a spoiler, people who haven't played Xenoblade might just think her Mechon body is some new armor she gets later in the game, but Mecha Fiora implies Mechon or that she's mechanical..

Edit: Plus, if she's playable, Fiora with her Homs body wouldn't be and there'd be no need to distinguish them, unlike trophies. If she gets a Homs alt (dang that'd be awesome) then Mecha Fiora would make sense

I think she'd be referred to as just Fiora. I mean, she was still referred to as such in Xenoblade after all! I'd be mad if she were to be called Mecha-Fiora

The naming of her Mechon trophy is weird anyways, it should've just been "Fiora (Machina)" or something.

Linking to the Xenoblade X website is a great idea! I hadn't considered that. It's a way to promote the new game (because if Fiora gets in as DLC it'd probably be to promote XC X) as well as avoid spoilers. That's definitely a possible solution to one problem of her spoiler self being in the game. Hope they do this when she gets in instead of linking to the XC website with Homs Fiora.

Then again, the explosion of Rule 34 is going to be the main problem when it comes to EVERY female joining the roster (Looks at Palutena).

Either way, at least some people are interested in the idea of her being the other Xenoblade rep as DLC.

Yeah whatever about r34, I don't even consider it if I want a female character on the roster. It just makes the creators of it look pretty stupid compared to people who actually like the character.
Example: I remember in the Peach general discussion before SSB4 came out and there wasn't many details on her, some guy came in and started talking about Peach being in her golf costume and using her butt for every attack and how Nintendo should sexualize her more. Everyone laughed of course and thought he was kidding because, well, it's ridiculous.

tldr; rule 34 is no reason to worry about getting a girl in the roster

I also think a lot of people who have played the game maybe even some who haven't, (Gaur Plains and its music make Xenoblade pretty hard to ignore) would like another Xenoblade character but they just consider it out of the realm of possibility.

Well what do you expect, almost every Japanese developer does it these days since they aren't that progressive. Ironically, that's my least favorite armor on Fiora due to how impractical it is for an android to fight that way.

The Speed IV set (Third one on the fourth row) was my favorite set when playing the post game of Xenoblade Chronicles. It would definitely work as an alt since she looks "more mechanical" like Face Nemesis unlike the other suits that would show any skin or the face. Just imagine facing Power Suit Samus with that alt and you'll have a battle between two armored amazons.

Hell, it even puts Samus's Power Suit to shame due to that heavy amount of detail and how deadly it looks.

The Xenoblade trophies I have (other than Shulk, Dunban and Riki) look so bad. Shulk, Dunban and Riki have new beautiful models, while the other characters still have the low poly ones from their actual game x_x Well, it is better than not having trophies at all, I guess.

I see it now! c: And the way the summary is set up, not only is it showing off Sakurai's disregard for spoilers, but I think that may set up for the Mecha-Fiora trophy description too.

Even though I'm a Premium user now, it's only for a month and I set recurring payments to off ;; although I hope she does become DLC so I can set her as my post background and have her as the Wii U main icon so that Shulk and Fiora can be next to each other too c: I'd buy a year sub if that happens, I only have so much in my PayPal rn tho and I'm saving for a deviantART sub ;;
