You're absolutely right about being patient, but working in the software development industry, I'd have to say that none of the delays were to add any functionality. What's more likely (and happens all the time) is that they just evaluated their progress at a certain point, and decided that they needed more time to finish everything that was in the initial docs/specs for the game. Same thing with this most recent delay, but on a much smaller scale.

I realized that right before I read your post.
It's more of a business oppurtunity to match or outsell Halo 3.
Maybe they will fail, maybe they won't.

But I mean in the end, it's just a good game off empty shelves.

When the game does come out, be happy and grateful for the time it took to get all of the things you have in it. What if the game came out with one less GOOD character, would you be happier?

Like, if they were about to add Geno, and you protested the date to change.
Then no Geno.

And Kid Icarus xx, or w/e, it's 2 months after, not 3.

erm...i don't really know who Geno is...so i wouldn't really be bothered if they didn't include him, but if you fill me in on him, then i could decide if he sounds cool :D

WOW you really own serebii?!?! that place is THE ONLY place i go if i want pokemon info, well, unless i want to check my method for shiny catching using the pokeradar (which btw i really think you should include on your website, if it's true...) i go on serebii for stuff on Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, D/P, anything i want to know, even if it's just that i can't find a certain pokemon, i still go on Serebii!!! :D

I just checked the GAME website yesterday, and the UK is getting Brawl on the 1st of May 08... which sucks, and i seriously hope that this is false, because i can't believe we might get it about 2 MONTHS AFTER THE U.S.!!! it's not fair...please comment if you agree that all Wii's should run on one gaming system, not NTSC or PAL, just one for everybody, and do you think that the 1st May is too long to wait? considering Japan gets it this month and the U.S in March

I'm happy it might be may....it's alot better than another date I've heard, sometime in june/july.

Geno is a character from the mario-themed, squaresoft-developed Super Mario RPG for the SNES. It used the FX chip for it's graphics like the DK games also for SNES (which at the time looked totally rockin'!)

don't believe any release date you see until an official announcement from Nintendo has confirmed so/it says so on the Dojo. GAME is a Game retailer - not Nintendo.

Hmm... it's been a long time since I played that game, but I recall he has some kind of long range punch where his arms go out pretty far like Sentinel from Marvel VS Capcom or Dalsim from the Street Fighter games.

Translations are usually done as parallel as possible when developing...
I wonder if it's just alot of buerocracy that's keeping the European releases late

Presuming it is 1st of May, or thereby close, it does make sense with the translations that they must undergo. However, personally, I do think the English version should just be the USA one and should be released earlier Fine, if its like Melee where they cut tiny bits out (trophies i think? that was all?) fair doos, but it'd get it out quicker But yeah, not official til its on the Dojo

And might i add, the Dojo is gonna look weird as, having release dates even for the UK site!

Anyway yeah the date is believable.
Also for any UK players still wanting to play Melee go to the Europe thread. (Just thought I'd point that out to the people whom may still want to play it and are new here.) The wait is long, might aswell play it's previous title whilst waiting.

If this is the date I'm going to be very happy, if it's even earlier than this, I'm going to be happy also. Aslong as it's not June or after, I'm happy.
