File Replacing problems

Can anybody help me?

I have a softmodded Wii, and tried to put the texture files and File Replacement codes onto the SD card. Gecko OS read the codes, and said it was "applying". When I selected the characters and the corresponding replaced costumes, the new textures I put in didn't appear in-game, just the default ones.

I did all of the texture hacking steps, but it still doesn't work. Help plz?

Did you put the texture files in the right place?

yeah, private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter

But I honestly think it is something wrong with my codes. They dont seem to work, though gecko os claims they are applied.

Have you tried just using a BBrawl or Brawl+ set?

did you make a character folder inside the fighter folder? for example. private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/fighter/mario
also are they named correctly? FitMario00.pcs and not myfirstmariotexture.pcs

Naw, I don't wanna play BBrawl I just want to use character textures and PSA characters on my retail brawl disc.

@darkpikmin: lol, yeah, I used the proper file names.

They don't work on SDHC cards.

A. Please avoid making a new topic next time(this kind of thing is the very reason we have a Q&A thread)

B. Check your grammar: make sure everything is written exactly right

C. If your still having problems make sure your code is right.
You need the file replace code for textures to work

Shadic asked you if you had tried brawl+/bbrawl because he wanted to know if you had gotten ANY codes to work.
Trying out a premade code like brawl+ would be the easiest way to check if it's the codes fault.
If you are really against touching the big projects you can always download one of the small, non-battle changing, tweak GCTs like EXBrawl(though it is months old now and has a CSS bug)
Or you could compile your own GCT using BrawlPlusTweaker
