Fighting Toon Link

Any advice for when fighting a Toon Link? I generally have trouble against Toon Link players, especially my cousin who likes using bombs (he'll also short hop double arrow though I can avoid these usually by just dodging or crawling). I generally have problems when he's returning back to the ground, he'll have a bomb ready and throw it down and follow it up with a dair if I try to attack him from below.

Spot dodge, rolling, shielding, and things that are generally defensive, as they all work in Snake's advantage. As for his Dair, avoid it, don't attack while you're in the air, it's that simple.

Snake's air game is terrible in exception to his Bair, yes I'm not saying "don't use aerials," I'm saying use them only when necessary, like sweetspotting a Fair. If you can shield the bomb and dodge the Dair, work into a FTilt to gain some distance.

I generally try to stay on the ground. Though I'm thinking about a way to counter the dair if possible. Like using a shielded grenade, dodge his bomb and throw it up at his dair causing him to blow up. Though it doesn't always work. It usually depends on how close he waits till he throws the bomb down.
