Pretty much everyone uses GC controller, which has 2 jump buttons, plus the ability to use tap jump. That's a lot of jump buttons. So is mapping short hop to a seperate button possible? I did a quick title search and didn't see any topics about it.
I assume you couldn't overwrite jump on one button with short hop, and leave it alone on the other. So you would have to map the short hop action over top of say up taunt, and then set up taunt to Y or whatever button you want to use. This would improve short hop accuracy for those of us who occasionally screw up and end up with a full jump, as well as just making things more fluid. I'd love to see this happen along with the R/L partial button press from the other thread. Margin of error on actions will go way down.
