Now This is just personal opinions, but pick your favorite. For me, I'd say Generation 2 is my favorite. Since you have Jhoto to go around, AND Kanto. Team Rocket is still there, and just additional pokemon in Jhoto in the mix of Kanto! Also, you get to fight Red on Mt. Silver! It is awesome altogether. Close second is 1st gen. because it is the classic AND it was the Generation that started Pokemon.
