Fatigue and Candy do not mix

I went to a Smash tournament last weekend in Toronto. With the 9 hour bus rides there and back and approximately 10 hours of sleep over the past 3 days (and no sleep on the night of the tournament), I was pretty beat when I got back home. I went to bed and slept a total of 16 hours. However, when I woke up, I found - to my surprise - that I had slipped a piece of taffy-like candy into my mouth the night before and forgot to finish it. I therefore have a nice big wad of taffy stuck to my hair, and I have no idea how to get it out.

Feel free to share stories of stupid things you did because you were really tired, or how to get taffy out of my hair. :)

Okay, there's an easy way to get taffy out of your hair. First you need to rub some peanut butter into it. It will create a sorta mess, but don't worry, it'll actually be able to come off. THEN, put a scoop of ice cream on it. THEN, get a haircut because contrary to everything I just said there's no way that taffy is leaving after spending a night with your hair.

I remember one incident when once I threw a dart arrow in my friends back 'cause I was to tired to scream after him, it was odd.

actually, i bet if you got in the shower and had really really hot water (as hot as your body can take without, you know, actually burning) constantly running down your hair while you gently tug at it by combing up to the taffy point, i bet the taffy would slowly dissipate. i'd try it when you had about half an hour to 45 minutes. still not fun though, i would so die if i got taffy in my hair holy crap.

EDIT: oh and it might help if your hair is able to dangle down as you do it, letting gravity help. how long is your hair and where did the taffy get into it?

EDIT(again): getting the taffy hot and wet will hopefully get it gooier, and hopefully let it slowly slide out. being gooey and having water between the taffy and the hair will probably make it stick less, and eventually allow you to remove it.

Go get some cooking oil.

If it gets ****ing bonding glue out of my hair, it'll get taffy out of yours.

I think it went away after taking a long shower; either that or it became too thin for me to tell. I had tested my theory on a pillow case earlier because a big wad of it was stuck to that (the other half naturally being on my head), and it seemed to work fine.

Thanks for the ideas though :)

My little sister once put a whole tub of Vaseline (petroleum jelly) in her hair. She was like 5 years old. It stayed there for a couple months, even though my mom tried all these super-strong shampoos, including one that hadn't been FDA-approved yet or something (it was all very exciting).

I'm sorry, but I forget how we actually got the Vaseline out.

Taffy is soluble in saliva, right? So, I guess you could mix up some potion that has roughly the same ingredients as spit, but I wouldn't really know how that would work.

My advice: If it doesn't come out with a hot shower or cooking oil (Azua--glue?), just cut off the offending hairs. And then cut the same hair off on the other side of your head to make it look like it was on purpose.

That is really creepy, like do you still sleep and reach for their faces like a ghoul or something? I feel asleep on the can once. It wasn't cool, your *** gets all dried up weirdly o_o.

It's not a stupid story, rather normal, and predictable.
It was in the school bus where I got so tired that I dozed off. Just in time, the bus stopped and my head flew against the seat in front of me. I didn't realize the pain just yet, but I was in a frenzy and my first thought was: "Who hit me? I'll tear that SOB apart!" And then I was WIDE awake...then the pain got me.
It's nothing funny, but it sucks nonetheless >_<
Oh, and once, I didn't get off the bus in time, too busy sleeping. Major suck of suckiness!
Normally, I'm not the person to sleep in if I'm tired, but it happens.

Well some weeks ago, we we're leaving for a short ski holiday. We went up early, to early apparently cause i had troubles standing up. I was moslty stumbling around hanging on to things because i was so tired. I later heard that my whole family was laughing at my tries to eat breakfast.
Yea..was weird...

Not a story, but if I'm on the computer and I start to get tird, I ALWAYS right click. I have no idea why, but my middle finger right clicks when my hand is on the mouse as I grow tired. I guess it's just a reaction to that one finger.
