Fanatiq, on the other hand, probably got paid off by Mike Z.
uhh..more like he's just publicizing his livestream + plugging his remix for the zed official remix contest. just like how trihex got his highest viewer count ever by like 1.5k because of the drive.

my point with my last post is theres nothing wrong with the reaching out everyone is doing in the 9th hour...as long the donations are still coming from legit sources or fans of the games it's all fair

LOL

and how is that different from us "using" trihex for publicity?
Because trihex is a big Melee fan doing what he can to help, making him a part of the Smash community.

It's very different than contacting a 3rd party saying "you should support the fight against Breast Cancer by donating money to Skull Girls for EVO or spreading the word or twitter!".

Trihex does play melee, but the SG community is getting help from people who aren't involved in the community at all. Some of them (littlestkuriboh) didn't even know there was a 'competiton' between games. It's basically the VAs calling out favors from people who aren't even aware of what's at stake for evo that's pissing us off imo

Although, if we were to reach out to screw attack we'd be doing the same thing
:phone:
beat them at their own game
make them regret their decisions

For the people saying he was doing shady things on the stream, you guys know he didn't even plan this stream himself right? Someone approached him about doing it.

As for promoting his music during the stream, he normally does that with his regular stream viewers. You guys are just reading too much into things lol.

There's no point in complaining about what's "dirty" or "underhanded". It's not like Mr. Wizard's gonna walk in here, agree with you, and ban them from the contest. Just try to come up with something better, do what you can to spread the word, and keep those donations coming.

lololol I inquired in the SG stream if one of the VA would say "Super Smash Bros is not a party game" if I donated $10 and they just up and said it anyway.

Those girls know what's up.

Not saying he is a bad guy, it's for a good cause after all.

I'm just pointing out that by starting all this he made an already poor way to determine the 8th game even worse.
