Falco's Up Smash

I've seen a lot of videos where Falco does his running A, then immediately after hitting a player, executes the up smash. I tried it myself but there's always a split second lag.

Is there a certain way of doing this? I'm pretty sure I'm doing it wrong.

You should read the stickies. This is done by running, pressing down on the c-stick, then IMMEDIATELY pressing up and Z at the same time. The result is a dash attack canceled into an upsmash.

Gatling combo (which you would find if you read the sticky, btw.)

Basically, you hit them with a dash attack, and cancel it IMMEDIATELY afterwards into an up-smash. Check the sticky for an explanation of how to do it.
